I just bought a Smith & Wesson M&P 15/22 and found that loading the magazines was awkward for my fat fingers. After all, these are .22 LR rounds, and the spring buttons on the mags themselves are okay but not great. So I searched and found this product and am very glad I did. Seriously, loading AND unloading are a breeze with this simple device. It seems to be well made, and I don't expect it to fail even after years of use.

This simple device is awesome. It snaps right on easily and makes loading mags a thousand percent easier. I’ve got essentially only a few fingers that still work and loading .22 mags was a struggle until I got this. I can load 25 rounds in about two minutes with ZERO fingertip pain from the buttons with this loader assist. I recommend this to everyone who’s got a 15-22 and can attest that it’s not hard to snap on and snap off at all. December 2024, this product is legit.

I like to load up 6 25-round magazines the night before I go shooting to maximize my time at the range. This definitely makes the job easier and faster. Money WELL spent.

I understand why people think it is difficult to use, it comes with no instructions, and looks very simple. Reality is you must start with the part perpendicular with the magazine to figure out how the notches fit over the assisting balls on the magazine. Then it’s a simple as twisting it Back parallel with the magazine and inserting the notches on the part over the top of the magazine, and push it into the grooves on the magazine and twist the part back perpendicular with the magazine, and then you just use the part as leverage against the assist knobs to make it easier to push down. I know that may sound complicated but with a magazine and the part you’ll quickly figure it out. It should come with instructions, but once figured out, it is easy to use and very helpful.

Even though the S&W 15 22 magazine this is built for has buttons to ease loading, they were still hard on my fingers. This item saved the day and makes the mags easy to load. I would have given it 5 stars but it is a bit hard to get over the end of the mag, though once on, it really makes the mags easy to load.

It does work, but getting it on and off the magazine is sort of a hassle so its really not worth bothering with since its easy enough to use your fingers on the loading buttons since the spring is very light. You almost need to load one or two first, then put this on, otherwise it sort of has a little too much slack for the first two rounds when you slip it on. While not expensive, its really not worth the time and hassle for what you get. It does take loading your mag a couple of times to figure out that a light touch is all that is needed to load with either this or just your fingers.
