I got this unit a few hours ago. It took me a couple of hours to complete the installation because of the unplanned trip to the hardware store. Other than the bolts being the wrong size, the installation was a breeze. I had to use a large clamp to center some holes, but after that everything fell into place just right. Iām completely satisfied with this product.

Talk about an engineering screw up... The included hardware (3/16-16 x 1" bolts if I remember correctly) along with some washers and nylock nuts appears to have absolutely nothing in common with the Smittybilt seats you can buy.I bought the Smittybilt 49515 seats (Sport Contour) and they indicated the requirement for this bracket (and the 49901 for the passenger side) for my Jeep TJ. The only thing missing is "universal fit" (which never is.)So I get the bracket and start the re-assembly only to realize the holes in the seat are tapped for M8-1.25 and there's no way the 1" bolts make sense when all I needed was a 16mm (length) bolt.Off to the hardware store to spend another $4 on the M8-1.25x16 bolts to mount the Smittybilt bracket to the Smittybilt seat.There's probably a reason why Smittybilt's nickname seems to belong in outhouse discussions.Other than that, the bracket seems pretty stout and more than capable to adapting the Jeep seat hardware to the new seat. Now... to find a use for those nylock nuts...
