So, I was definitely under the impression that the smoke basically is nonexistent when you use these things, and if that's supposed to be the case, it's not with this. This seems more like a consideration device. A device you would use when you want to prevent your smoke from being obnoxious to people around you (or to limit the amount of smoke when smoking indoors) but it doesn't completely eliminate the smell/evidence of smoking. I find it helpful for travel, since I live alone I'm not worried about smoking indoors bothering anyone, but when I go out, I don't want my smoke to either garner unwanted attention or to aggravate someone's allergies, so when I'm concerned about what other people think I use this and it works quite well for that. Outside it practically does eliminate the smoke (but like, only when you exhale, whatever you're smoking from will still release smoke into the air rather than into this filter)I don't use this enough to notice anything about filter quality or how long this might last. I have used it maybe a dozen or so times and it's still working well for me. I hope to use this for a while as I do enjoy the benefit of being able to enjoy my smokables without the crankier folks being bothered by it.

Smoke Hunter 3.0 Black Hole (Black)It does a good job of capturing the smoke that goes through it. There is a bit of empty space between the mouthpiecee and the filter so I exhale into it, take a breath and exhale again to clear the smoke. All devices have some space. I carelessly use mine and is still knocks out the smell. The only downside I see is the hard plastic it is made of. When I drop it, it makes lots of noise on wood floors. These are nice to have, even if you smoke in your house. There are always times you want to keep it on the DL.

This worked good at first but after using it only a few times is started to get clogged and is not very hard to blow the smoke into. It's made well and isnt too small it fits into your jacket pocket.
