They just closed at the tip and would not close tightly along the main body of the jaws no matter how hard I squeezed them shut. Unfortunately I had to return them.

The way things are packaged now with tiny, tiny tabs you can't even grip, yet pull to open...these are a life saver...and INEXPENSIVE. They have been a game changer for me. If you want to see how to use these and other helpers---and to be clear I have NO PART in this YouTube site; it's just where I found these and so many other things. It's a site by Equiptme OT (or some form of that spelling). I think this particular one says something about kitchen gadgets. I've bought these for my fellow oldersters and they really love them.

Ordered these smooth jaw pliers to debarb small fishing flies. They worked great. Lots of river and streams are no barb so these are handy to have.
