I feel like this stair stepper could use some tweaks. The build quality is pretty good. Holds a 200+lbs. person just fine. And like it says in the ad, it's designed to angle so its a little easier on your knees. The parts that I don't like are that unless you crank it all the way to more difficult, then it only has enough leeway for you to take very short steps. Like going up and down 3 inches kinds of short steps. The resistance bands have the opposite issue with the same effect, in that they're long enough to reach the middle of your chest so there's no "resistance" until they reach that point so the only movement with resistance is from your chest to over your head. I'd rather they start resisting down by the waist. And I'm an average height person.

My hubby put it together for me. It took him like 30 to assemble. The stair can tighten to make it harder or looser. 100 steps and I can feel it. The odometer records time, steps, and other things. It doesnt light up, so it would be harder to see at night or without light. It also has these two arm bands which adds to the workout. I like it. It doesnt take up too much space. Works on the core as well because there are no arm rests.

Anyone that WFH knows the benefit of getting up and moving throughout your day. This mini stepper is perfect to leave in the home office or under the desk. I have a standing desk that I use standing up with the stepper but most of the time I leave the stepper under my desk while I'm sitting and step with it while sitting regularly throughout the day. It also helps with my ADHD to have something that is rudimentary and distracting enough to help with activity! It also has a built in counter on it as well! I wanted to try an under the desk treadmill, but, to me, this stepper is much safer especially if you're not as good with balance or coordination to use a treadmill and work at the same time like me!

I enjoy the convenience of being able to do simple workouts at home without the time required to to drive, change, workout, shower, change, and drive back home. Having everything set up in a dedicated area in my basement eliminates all the excuses I would make not to do it!This little stair stepper is a great addition to my ever growing home gym. It takes up almost no floor space and provides a gentle lower body workout. With the addition of the resistance bands you can also add upper body exercises. The digital display will show the step count and secondarily either a timer, calories burned, or your step rate. There is also a knob on the bottom of the unit to adjust the tension.

This was easy to put together right out of the box. This stair stepper has a dial to make a change in the range as well as bands to give both an upper and body workout. Great find.

I have been housebound for a bit. Health problems. I wanted to start doing some exercise. This unit is built very well. The metal is strong and does not flex when my 240lbs stands on it. The plastic foot rests are solid too.I wish I could dial them up for more resistance, but they still work great. This is just what I was after to get my exercise started. The bands are fine too. Though, my balance has not let me use them too much. I have a ways to go.Very happy with this item.

This is perfect for working out at home, especially if you have a small residence. It is pretty easy to use, whether reading a book, watching TV, or viewing something outside the window. Just take it slow at first and be careful to not overdo yourself, also make sure you do have something near you to balance yourself on for those just in case moments when you are older. It does give you a good workout. As you go and build yourself up there are advance methods on it and resistance bands as well. You will though have to figure out parts yourself because while there is instructions, they are not as laid out as they should be. But for the price it is a definite winner!

I have an arthritic lower back, plantar fasciitis from soft arches, knee issues and an old ankle injury that has been barking lately. I got this to nudge my sedentary ass out of its laziness and lower my cholesterol while not embarrassing myself at a gym. I am amazed at how this thing isolates muscle groups so there is absolutely no strain on the soles of my feet (even without orthotics), my knees or ankles. I think this has to do with the smoothness of the hydraulic drive system. There is absolutely no stuttering or wobble, just smooth motion. At around the 30 pace mark is when I start to feel the burn in my gluts and thighs when I set the stepper to the highest tension level. It truly feels like when I hike the Vernal Falls Trail in Yosemite, but without the eventual foot and knee pain I usually experience.I use this free-standing and have had moments of losing my balance, but trudging onward usually is enough to correct my balance. I've never fallen off it. But I will say that anyone with balance issues should use this in front of a table, counter or desk because there is no railing to hold onto and when you get too cerebral about what you're doing, you're going to lose your balance. I like using this in front of the TV and sometimes I'll even browse on my phone. I find taking my mind off the action is the best way to let my body do what it's doing without any interference from my over-analytical brain.I'm still trying to figure out the digital display. Unfortunately, it's not back lit so when it's on the floor, it's pretty hard to read. It seems to display less information than what it's supposed to (step count, exercise time, calories burned, STRIDES/MIN) or maybe I just don't know how to read or interpret what I'm seeing. Also, it only displays while in use so the moment you step off to look at it, the display clears (not the memory, but the display) Documentation is pretty slim and there are no exercise guides so I don't really know what to do with the resistance bands that clip to the machine. I'm sure there are tons of videos online. I just haven't had a chance to search for them. QR codes would've been helpful. Because of these issues, I'm taking off a star, but the stepper itself is pretty awesome.More advanced users will probably want more control over resistance, more advanced monitoring, but for me it's exactly what the doctor ordered (quite literally). I love using it, and that's the most important part of staying healthy, I think: enjoying the physical activity that improves one's health. I like the physical exertion I feel which is unlike what I get from what I thought was an active work and home life. Because of its solid compact build, it's available to me anytime, ready to step on and go.It arrived well packaged in a sturdy carton, completely assembled, save the two resistance bands that clip onto the machine with carabiners. It also comes with a wrench and Allen wrench for tightening the bolts if they loosen.
