It did the trick for a cheap restoration on a drum I was selling. If it were for my own drum, I would have invested a bit more for better quality.

I was able to replace the strainer and get a perfect snare drum sound from my instrument.

Not the kind of build quality you would get for a $50-100 strainer throw off. I think it would work well enough, but the mounting holes are not the 1.5" I needed, in spite of an answered question that indicates 1.5". So I didn't install and try it. It did come with drum screws rather than regular screws.

Nice sturdy strainer.Only drawback is that the clamps for the snare straps use Phillips head screws instead of the drum key style.They may strip out with repeated use.

Actually works better than most original ones. I have bought three for different drums. It throws all the way off instead of still vibrating a little
