Love this magnet, it's my second purchase, Use it to mount my gun securely and discretely out of site. I definitely would not recommend it in a home situation where kids will be around.

These are great. I don’t know about 50lbs but the will almost snatch your gun out of your hand. I use one to hold a loaded Glock 19 in my truck and it works as well or better than I expected.

This is a very strong magnet. Worried about your weapon not staying in place? Ha this will take a finger off of its in between the weapon and magnet. My husband uses it daily while in the vehicle. Easily accessible while in the truck.Will not damage weapon, no wear from daily use on either the weapon or magnet
