There are too many concussions that go undetected and can have a lifelong impact. Just not worth playing these types of sports without protection. I do like how this is adjustable and pleased to have something that protects the head. Just make sure to measure your (or your loved one's) head to make sure it will fit well.

Product: Headguard Padded HelmetBrand: CienfySize: LargeI ordered this head guard as part of my protective gear for outdoor skating. I find this much easier to wear than a plastic helmet, whether a bike helmet or a hard hat. Plastic helmets always feel unbalanced on my head and make me feel like I am straining my neck to keep them in place.Once I got this tightened on, it’s not coming off for sure! My dad played college football in the 1950’s, and this looks similar to the design of the leather helmets in the photos I’ve seen of him from that time. I’m pretty sure he suffered some concussions so I wouldn’t recommend this for heavy tackle sports. My brother played rugby and I don’t think they wore helmets at all. This might be good for sports more like that.The padding seems sufficient for what I need. There is a bit less padding right at the back of the head where the lacing for size adjustment is. This could be an issue if I fell on a hard surface on my back. Clunk. I'm planning to guard against that.
