I recently bought the Sofucor 52-inch fan. I am a big fan of DC motor fans because of their efficiency and ease of use. Here are a few things I liked about this fan:1. Installation was easy. It has clear instructions and comes with 3 sizes of down rods which is a plus.2. It looks great. I was a little worried about how the grey blades would look but they look awesome.3. Everything works perfectly. One of the features I like about this fan is the color-changing LED light. You can even change the brightness as per your need and all of this can be done with a remote ๐4. Itโs quiet just like all other DC motor fans. Most of the above is true for many other brands but what sets Sofucor apart, at least in my book, is their customer service. After I installed the fan, I noticed that the motor was making a slight noise. When I contacted customer service, they immediately contacted me about a possible solution and sent me another motor. This new motor as it turned out had some damage in shipping (bent disk where blades are attached). I contacted them again and they sent me another motor which I received in 2-3 days and worked perfectly. So, in short, this is not only a great product, but also backed by some good customer service which is what makes it a โgreat buyโ

It is much easier for me to follow directions that are explained in words with some accompanying pictures rather than pictures alone. It was easy for me to overlook the part of the step that showed adding the trim ring before the canopy. After assembly was complete the ring was left, and only because I have installed dozens of fans was I able to determine where it went. When I reviewed the pictures and looked more closely, I did see that it was shown, but not clearly. Had to disconnect and remove the fan from the ceiling, remove the ball and canopy, then slide the trim ring on and reassemble everything. A bit frustrating, but once installed everything works well.Light comes on when power is applied. That's fine if you have it wired to a wall switch, but if it's connected to the hot wire in the fan box and power is lost, the light turns itself on when power is restored.Fan is slightly out of balance which is fairly uncommon in today's world. The last several fans I have installed did not require balancing.Only other complaint is that Speed 1 could be slower. On a positive note, the fan is very quiet and the different length downrods included are a bonus.

I researched all kinds of different fans and decided upon this beautiful fan. Having three 60" fan blades vs. all the other fans I've previously had that have had five smaller blades is an advantage. Much easier to clean and the wooden blades are light but sturdy. The fan blades were what initially caught my eye as I thought they were really cool looking, and they do look really nice in person. The fan is powered by a very quiet DC motor (can't even hear any motor noise) and it pushes out quite a bit of air. I was pretty picky on wanting a fan that also provided a good amount of light and this fan gets pretty bright, but you can easily dim it via the remote control. The fan spins with no vibration or wobble, as it's very well balanced. Some previous reviewers have said this fan was easy to install and some others have said it was harder to install. After getting confused reading the written manual, I reviewed the online installation video and that made it much easier to understand how to install the fan. Just Google it and you should find the video. Watch the video first! I've installed a few fans in my lifetime and this fan took me longer to install than some others, but it was worth the effort. Some previous reviewers have also complained about needing to use the remote as the primary way to operate the fan. This isn't an issue for me. The remote has a remote receiver that relies upon the remote to operate the fan. Just leave the wall switch turned on and then use the remote to turn the fan on / off and to adjust the fan speed and light brightness. My wall switch had a black wire (hot), white wire (neutral) and a red wire. However, the remote receiver I needed to wire to only had a black and white wire. There are different electrical configurations, so this part was a bit confusing. I finally figured out that I just needed to cap off the red wire (not needed) and only connected the black and white wires. At first, the fan worked but the light did not, the remote control would not operate the light. I contacted customer service and as other reviewers have mentioned, they are pretty responsive to technical issues and questions. They sent me out a replacement remote and receiver pretty quickly (arrived in 2-3 days), but it was the wrong remote receiver, so they sent me out the correct receiver and that fixed the problem. It was worth the wait since this is a cool fan.
