I am very glad I ordered this tracing paper. It is easy to work with since it is flat and doesn't have the curling issues of rolled vellum or tracing paper. The size of these sheets is large enough for the majority of pattern pieces when I am tracing out altered pieces (Since I am not a standard size, I need to customize all things I sew) if it is a larger piece, the paper easily tapes together. THe markings I put on the paper stay put and aren't prone to smudging. Very good stuff here!

I do a lot of measured out pieces with geometric designs and that means a lot of erase lines by the end of the design process. Tracing paper is excellent for taking my finished work and transferring it to a clean paper or other surface without all the messy erase marks. This way I get a clean finished look that I can can then color (paint, ink, alcohol marker, etc..) and gild with beautiful results and no need to try to hide or cover those leftover marks.This is an excellent tool for transferring work or even learning to draw in a new style. This tracing paper is easy to see through with or without a light box and is actually pretty durable. I didn't have any issues with my pencil ripping or poking through it. The paper is larger so it's good for larger pieces but can also be cut down to use with smaller pieces.

This paper is better than any I remember as a kid. I got this to begin a new (retirement) journey in painting my own art. I've watched many videos on getting started and using tracing paper was one artist's advice. He said it's not cheating for someone who struggles with drawing to use an aid like tracing paper to transfer a tracing onto canvas before painting...I liked that advice.I've tried out the paper on odds and ends and am still looking for the right image to actually paint. I can say with confidence this paper will be a great tool on my new journey in artwork.Highly recommended.

This tracing paper is very sheer (see photos) and strong (25 lb weight). It stands up to being taped down with washi or "delicate" painter's tape. The pad is thin, but contains a generous 50 sheets.It works beautifully and is suitable to purpose when you need to transfer a sketch or photo to a heavy paper, like multimedia or watercolor paper, you can sketch or trace on this paper; shade the back with a soft graphite pencil, and then tape it to your project paper and trace over the image to transfer the outline to your project.Excellent paper. Recommended.

The pad of SoHo Urban Artist Vellum Tracing Paper is very nice quality. I really like the feel of the paper. I am using it for patterns for doll clothes. I either draft my own patterns or trace existing patterns and make alterations. Using this vellum tracing paper is so much easier and better than using tissue paper, as I have been using. I can re-use these pieces as the paper is quite sturdy, but thin enough to see through and cut through easily. I can also put pins through it. I love the 11x14 size.

Hotep brothers and sisters and thank you for looking at my review of the. SoHo Urban Artist Vellum Tracing Paper Pads - Translucent Vellum Paper for Drawing, Tracing and Different Media. 14x17". What I love about this tracing paper it is almost invisible and makes the media underneath very visible. This is probably the clearest tracing paper I've ever seen if you know what I mean, Gene. If you need some tracing paper, this is a good one to go to’ cause is certainly easy to see through. I highly recommend my friend and I hope it was helpful for you. I like to do artwork from photos as well as real life. However, sometimes I just need a boost. Using tracing paper that is big enough is important for me.PADThe pad that this comes in is sturdy and well made. The paper comes out when I want it to, but they have not fallen out when I don't want them to.PERFORMANCEI like to use these to lay over a painting I have done or a photo that is larger and then trace out the specifics I want to copy to my paper or canvas. Then I put some graphite paper between the traching paper and the paper/canvas I want to draw on and I can quickly transfer the lines I traced where I want them.This works great for my purposes in doing what I described above. I like that I don't have to tape together smaller pieces anymore to trace on.THE BOTTOM LINEThis tracing paper works well for me. It is a good size and performs well.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. I like this paper and would buy it again.
