Some high school kids I know were kvetching about having to read a book for school: The Great Gatsby. My discussion with them gave me the idea, and I bought this light to put on the dock of a wilderness cabin that we all spend a lot of time at. I installed it on a galvanized pipe and it automatically turns on at dark, and off at light. Time will tell on it's durability but for now I have Daisy's green light on the dock every night, and the neighbors across the lake can look at it and think of Daisy and the American Dream they are always reaching for, but never achieving.

Light works well. 3 stars is due to the fact that parts were missing, base was not in the box. It appears to me that Amazon shipped to me an item that had preciously been returned.

I could not figure how to put a video on here, but picture this light blinking 125' in the air. That's where it is, atop of our 125' tower we have for wireless internet. Our TV antennae is on it too. You can see this light freshly installed by my son up there. We weren't required to have it, but we wanted it, just to be cool. It sure is! We've had it up there for about a month now, in Wisconsin, where we've had snow, cold, sleet, rain, and horrible wind already so it's been through a lot already and isn't affected.I put the picture of my son on here before he went up there in case anyone was worried. He was trained and wore safety gear and harness.

Seems well built and bright. Pleased after the installation but can't say how it will last.After 6 months both still working well.After 2 years they are both working like new. Great!
