I bought this to help reduce evaporation over the dry winter months. (We don't "close the pool" for winter.) Spreading it out had no effect at all. Pool water would seep right up onto this 12mil thick (thin?) pool cover and evaporate, rendering it useless as an evaporation remedy. I now have it folded over double, and it stays fully on top of the water, giving some evaporation protection. My advice would be to buy a 16mil pool cover if you're trying to reduce evaporation, so that it fully lays on top of the water.

Easy to layout and cut to your needs.. this helped maintain pool temp overnight only losing 3 to 5 degrees [FL in Dec]

This kept the temperature quite well here in Florida with my pool and it stopped most of the evaporation which I was kind of worried about a pulley thinking that I had a leak but I know not because every time it gets cool like that I watch the water leaf once I use this to water stayed at his level for five six days I was happy with that

This solar pool cover has held up exceptionally well. It’s a good heavy weight to hold together without the bubbles coming apart. It has done a great job of keeping our pool temperature up even with the crazy midwest weather!

Quality is nice! Was very easily able to snip sections to shape the cover to align with my Freeform shaped pool. Easy to put on and remove (tip: fold it like an accordion). Glad we got this cover so we can warm the pool up faster (So Cal - May Gray, June Gloom will not stop us!!)

Bought as a replacement for our in ground pool. It is kidney shape and was very easy to cut to our needed shape and size. It’s definitely higher quality, thicker than our last one. Very easy to just spray off to clean. Hold the heat in well both from solar and our heater.

I usually buy the cheap solar covers, but I replace them every year. I ordered this one, which is a mid thickness, but it's way thicker than my old one. I think it will be a good one. I have an 18' round pool & this cover fit perfect. No trimming needed!
