I needed a light for above my outdoor bench and this worked perfectly. It is definately multipurpose. It is bigger than others I have bought before and I like the different color changing modes. More than anything I like the fact that it is solar. I definately see the difference in brightness when we turn it on.

Nice rechargeable lighting for your pool. Can attach in multiple ways if needed. Also can use outside of pool like on a fence
