This prop is awesome. I have a 1999 Johnson 50hp on a 16 foot double wide Jon boat. Gained a few mph with this over the original and less fuel used too. 3/4 throttle nets great results

I bought this for a used 18.8' bowrider I acquired not long ago. The purpose to replace the existing 19" prop. With the 19" prop the boat was a nightmare, I was having buyers remorse. Key issues were; engine was revving too high (5100 rpm) and fuel efficiency was poor, even for a boat. The boat didn't plane well and didn't stay on plane well, (not great for tubing) barely hit 40 mph at WOT. Sometimes when getting on plane it'd progressively start leaning to the left when getting on plane, which was concerning to all aboard though it'd level out before too long. I considered adding trim tabs, but checked forums and found other owners with the same engine raving about a 21" prop. I am glad I did, now the boat planes easily and stays on plane at lower speeds, it will cruise at 40 mph with level trim at 4500 rpm vs 5100 before. it is much more efficient when driving at tubing speeds (18-24). Top speed is higher now than I was comfortable going in the chop on the Potomac that was present the day I tested it out, but I'd guess better than 45 mph; fast for an 18' boat if you're sane. I've not noticed the lean at all. I can cruise at 4000 rpm and maintain 35 mph which is comfortable in a boat this size though 40 comes so easy now and is comfortable. I may still add trim tabs, I've heard they help smooth out the ride on any boat and let's face it the smoother the ride the better for all involved.Other notes installation was easy it comes with the washer that goes between the prop and the drive. I have a history of being hard on props (as does the Potomac) so i imagine I'll be buying another next season.

Great prop for the money! Fit perfectly on my 1982 50hp Johnson. I fish on the Susquehanna River, which has more rocks than water, and this thing has taken a good beating already and is doing well. There are only small gouges where it hit instead of being bent or cracked and that's really all I could ask for in a prop. I will be buying this brand again after the river eats this one.
