This is solid 10K gold not plated or gold filled. That makes it a great gift. Should be 5 star. 4 star for two reasons, neither of which diminish it's value as a real gold gift. 1. The heart when viewed from the front seems thick and to be three dimensional. But turn it over and it is actually a sort of pressed one sided form with the heart being hollow. This doesn't take away from what it is, but gives it a bit of cheap look. A perfectly flat heart of the same gold weight would have avoided this "cheap" appearance. 2. The polish needed just a bit more time. I would order again. After all it is gold and will last forever or until it's lost.
