Bought them for heatsinks, but I used one as overkill for my ten-gauge silicone clad ground strap ;)

These are very solid all-copper alligator clips. However, one of the clips arrived bent. When did we quit caring about basic product quality?

These clips are very well designed. The most common alligator clips on the market are made of nickel-plated steel. But steel is not nearly as good an electrical conductor as is copper or aluminum. Steel clips are also going to heat-up when used for very long. These clips did fit on 10 gauge woven auto wire as advertised. I used a propane torch to solder them to the wire. They also feature a small detent at the end of the wire shaft, which helps lock-in the soldered wire.

I used these for a capacitor discharge tool I made exactly what I needed!

I recommend these little clips to anyone who needs to hold wire leads together on an electronics bench test project. They're strong, and have decent grip. I also use them as heat shields for soldering the wire leads on transistors, diodes, or anything delicate.

These are exactly what I was looking for. There are crocodile clips and other alligator clips, but these are the older style that I was desperatly trying to find. Thumbs up!

Smaller than I thought they would be.. Appear to good quality.

I purchased these clips to use as heat sinks for soldering electrical power feed wires and rail end joiners on my HO scale model railroad track; and they work great. The track ties are plastic and can melt easily, but these clips are small enough to get into small spots and prevent tie melting. I also purchase larger 2" clips which can absorb more heat, and use the combination of the two sizes depending on the available space. These clips were shipped quickly, are high quality, and I'm very happy with them.

Worked great. I was using lead free solder and was having trouble getting the solder to melt. Not having soldered lately, I wasn't sure if lead free solder had a higher melting point. So I thought maybe my soldering gun wasn't working right. Then I touched the clips that I had put at the end of the spliced open wire. I was surprised how hot they were. The wires beyond them weren't that hot.
