SONGMICS Stackable Shoe Boxes, Set of 12 Plastic Shoe Organizers with Door, Transparent, Easy Assembly, 9.1 x 13.1 x 5.6 Inches, for Shoes up to US Size 9, Transparent and Cloud White ULSP312W01These boxes come flat-packed and you have to put them together. At first, I was kinda put out by that, I grabbed them so fast I did not read the description well. Then I realized it makes sense for shipping on their end and for storing on my end. Having to put them together allows you to set up only how many you need and easily store the rest. All parts were present and accounted for and arrived in perfect condition. The instructions are clear and the boxes are easy to put together, once you get the hang of it. You definitely get the snap sound mentioned in the instructions if you put them together correctly. They're pretty sturdy once assembled but I would not carry anything heavy in them. The door is easy to open and close but stays closed when you handle the box, the ends hold everything square very well.I got these to store other things besides shoes, some folded clothes and cross-stitch material and supplies, and I think they will work for that. They will be sitting on shelves so will be well supported. I like them and I think they are well worth the money.

I've gotten similar products in the past and was surprised at the low price of these ones. 12 pack for about $30. Others I've gotten were around 6-8 per box.Once these arrived, I then understood the price difference. The more expensive ones I had are of rigid plastic on all sides. This one consists of thin plastic (like the ones found in thicker plastic folders) for the body and rogid plastic back and front door.I didn't mind this material for the purpose I used this for which as a closet organizer. It actually worked out better as the flexible plastic allowed us to stuff more socks and such in.The installation was pretty straightforward and instructions were included. It took me a while to get the hang of it. I found it easier to align one of the short sides and click on as opposed to following the instructions where you align by corner.I tried fitting shoes in here and my size 9 womens sneakers fit okay. The size 10 mens were too tight fitting. These are stackable with notches that help prevent shifting when stacked. It doesn't lock the stack up/down, left/right.Overall, these boxes are great for the price. I don't necessarily recommend for shoes but good for other uses.

Putting this together will frustrate you. It is VERY thin, cheap feeling plastic that you have to bend on creases in order to have the sides click in. I've put the swedish furniture brand together that stressed me out less. The main box component is a flat piece of plastic you need to bend to make into a rectangle. But it wants to be a circle so you have to fight with it to be square enough to click into place on the back and front piece which is the annoying part. Even when it does click in, it feels like it's going to separate. The front door to box is equally flimsy and the door only has a tiny piece on either side for it to click in and secure it shut as the picture shows. If there is too much weight I can see how this would fail.Putting heavier shoes in the box makes it sag a bit due to the thin nature of the plastic. I do not believe you can stack several boxes with heavier shoes inside.I would be concerned with durability given it's construction. This would be a good product for someone looking for a cheap alternative for to the expensive thick plastic shoe boxes.

I thought these were similar to other pre-fab plastic shoe boxes with magnetic front lid opening but, no, these are made with thinner, flimsier plastic for the sides as well as less sturdy front/back stabilizing sides, which accounts for the more affordable per-box pricing. They're also fussier and tricker to assemble until you get the hang of it. Tip: Bend the end tabs before trying to slide them into the end pieces then press until you hear an audible "snap".)This relative flimsiness makes them a bit less versatile, however, if I keep in mind that these are designed and intended for storing shoes (which don't weight much), I should be able to fill them with light to medium weight items that don't have much load to them, such as lightweight clothing (socks, underwear), hand towels/wash cloths or soft craft items (yarn, fabric) as well as shoes, of course. As the set includes 12 boxes in all I was surprised by how flat the box they arrived in was. That's an advantage if you don't intend to use them all at once and want to compactly store the rest for future use. Finally, they do stack vertically with little tabs that connect the end pieces, but, again, bear in mind the relative flimsiness of the plastic and only stack if the overall weight of each unit is light enough to bear the combined weight of everything above it.I will find uses for these soft-sided shoe boxes but I would not order these again.
