I ordered two 100-disk spindles. They arrived in good time, but the outer plastic packaging was badly damaged, and one of the spindles contained +R disks instead of -R disks (even though the outer packaging was for -R)

I've been using Sony DVDs with my Macs almost exclusively for over 6 years now. I stick to them because, unlike several other brands that I've tried, they are always readable by all of my various dvd players and computer drives and I don't really remember ever burning coasters with them. But when buying them on Amazon, I find that I almost always have to go through the return and re-order process before I receive an undamaged cakebox. It is very frustrating.

At the time I purchased this product in December 2011, it was only $33. I see the price has increased to almost $50, but still that's good considering that comes to 50 cents a disk. I bought an Epson Artisan 837 printer that can print DVD/CD labels and could not find printable DVDs in any store. I looked in Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, etc. I am an independent filmmaker and needed these disks to distribute my films on DVD. Some customers wrote reviews that some of the disks did not work, but I have used over half of the disks and have not had any problems. I also bought the DVD cases from Amazon; a box of 100 for only $21. WOW, can't beat that price! I LOVE AMAZON!!!

I got the package on time and it was as advertized...Well, sort of.The bottom part of the spindle had broken in travel and every single disc was was in a pile in the box.....I started to return it, but changed my mind and thought: "Why don't I just see where they will start going bad?"They didn't. Not one single coaster in the lot. Thus the five stars. It needs to be noted that the vendor was in no way responsible for the mishap....That is laid at the feet of the USPS..Anyway, all's well that ends well. And the price was quite reasonable.

I am using a Casio disc title printer to label movies that I am transferring from video to DVD-R. The Sony brand DVD works great and there have been no problems in getting it to take the video images. The only problem I have is that the surface is not good for my printer. The print comes out very faded and is hard to read. I switched to the regular Sony DVD-R with the regular surface and that works perfectly. The bottom line is if you are going to use a machine to label the DVD's then use the regular type DVD-R. If you are going to write on the label with a pen, then go ahead and use the printable blank DVD.

After using other brands of blank DVD's I've got to declare Sony the winner and champion in the quality marathon. I've used a half dozen brands of blanks and quality ranges from barely acceptable (1 defective disk for every 6 or 7) to horrible (1 out of 2 defective disks). To date, EVERY Sony blank I've used from this shipment WORKS PERFECTLY! I was beginning to think that defects were part of the deal with this type of media and I'm very glad that Sony takes enough pride in their product to invest in a serious and effective quality control program.I've been an Amazon customer for many years now and as far as shipping, handling and delivery, Amazon and it's partners do an astoundingly good job. Delivery is typically before the stated E.T.A. and products are always in perfect condition upon arrival.Keep up the good work Amazon and Sony and maybe from these comments you can guess what product and from whom I'll place my next order.

Don't waste your time ordering this item. YOU WILL RETURN IT. IT WILL ARRIVE BROKEN. Why you ask. The seller, packager, and the processing people all know this will happen yet they do nothing to prevent it. Total irresponsibility. They just blame each other instead of fixing the problem. After a waste of my time ordering this product from this supplier and order process, only to return it, I ordered the same item from another on-line site and it arrived perfectly. It was cheaper as well, so shop around. DON'T JUST TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, LOOK AT THE OTHER REVIEWS, unless they have taken them down. This is the only item I've ever ordered with two feedbacks, one for the seller and one for the packager, that proves my point about the finger pointing game and no one wants to solve the problem. The customer looses, so don't waste your time.

These are standard DVD's that can be burned and printed on by an inkjet printer. They work perfect. I have had no issues with the disks.
