It is a new 48" Sony to replace our old one that was not even 2 years old. Hopefully this Sony will last longer than did the previous Sony XBR 48" one.The new one arrived when scheduled. It was easy to setup and is currently working.

Don't make the mistake of buying a Sony TV! they don't even honor the manufacturer warranty. See the grey patches in photo of TV just a few months from purchase. Yes, electronic products can go bad but that's why you have the warranty and companies need to honor their commitment.

Great for regular TV viewing. I don't game. Works perfect for our smaller living room. 55 inch I had was too big for the area.
