In this day and age, it is unnaceptable that a microphone for an action camera is not stereo, only mono channel, but here we are, if it was stated on the description i would have given it a pass, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

This only records audio on the Right channel, meaning if you put headphones on, it's barely listenable. The audio quality is even worse, and I mean way worse than the standard mic on the hero 4 black. The case that they gave cracked the silver facia on the front of my go pro. This will be going straight in the bin.

I tested internal mic vs third mic. There internal is better. I would not purchase this again.

I mounted it to my rear license plate and could clearly hear the tire noises and also muffler. No more wind noise.

Maybe I'm just ignorant, or maybe mine is simply faulty, but I assumed this lavalier mic would record in STEREO. But it records on the right channel only. How strange! Either way, the built-in mic in my GoPro 3+ works and sounds MUCH better than this lavalier mic...very disappointed!

My husband is absolutely delighted with this little camera and it's casing. Finally having his midlife crisis and brought a track car so wanted a mounting camera to record his fun! Our son has a very expensive branded name one but is the first edition, my husband actually said that this camera is just as good - if not a little better than my son's! Very easy to use and great for its money....he was actually grinning from ear to ear with his little bargain!
