I use these on 4 doors. I was worried the springs might fatigue, but so far no. They close the doors reliably, but without slamming. Would buy again. Installation is slightly more difficult, due to the springs, but it is a trivial job, even if you aren't DIY friendly.

Do exactly as advertised. Put two on my basement door because my older kids kept leaving my basement door open when I have a 1 yo walking. That thing will slam shut if it is opened all the way. Will be buying more

The grandson, who lives in our basement temporarily 🤞🏼, had a bad habit of leaving the door open which blocks the hallway. Put one of these hinges on it, and solved the problem nicely. The adjustable tension settings are a nice feature. Installed in just a few minutes.

Our garage walk through door was always difficult to close. Maybe a third of the time you'd go to the garage to find the door ajar. Not a very good security situation. I didn't need a door closer that would slam the door shut. I just needed a little more "oomph" when you swung it closed. This did the job. I only needed to use one of the two supplied closers for my needs. Installing the second closer would have worked fine, but would have been a bit more force than I needed.

My grandson just started crawling at an extremely fast pace We needed to stop him from going down the basement stairs especially since his older brother or grandparents might forget to check the basement door was closed.Installed both hinges on a 4 hinge door at a minimum setting. Door close quickly but not to fast with a positive lock.Easy to replace old hinges. Verify size and corner shape.

My cat keeps getting in garage and I don’t want him there but sometimes I don’t close he basement door to garage all the way and he can open it. Two hinges on the tightest settings don’t close the door and latch it. BUT they do hold it closed enough that so far he can’t open it. But I have a feeling he will figure it out as he is determined. I probably need a 3rd one to close the door all the way but not sure I want to spend ANOTHER 10$ on another hinge. So so far it’s better than nothing.Update:Got a 3rd hinge for this door and the door does not close. Most likely you will need 3

I ordered the pack of 4, but it only came with two lock pins. The other two are just over priced hinges without the lock pin to tension the spring.I installed them indoors. I had to chip out some wood since they were half inch taller, and thicker, to ensure they fit and the door could close. Two hinges with pins was enough to get one door to close completely without slamming.
