My grand daughter likes to sew and make clothes for her American Girl & Generation Dolls. I bought her one of these last winter and she brought her sewing supplies everywhere. I noticed I haven't seen it lately and asked her why. Sadly she told me her dog ate it and didn't want to tell me. Of course I told her she can tell me anything and I am not upset. This past weekend I surprised her with a new one. SHE WAS SO EXCITED and told me what she 's going to design next. Fills my heart with joy!!!

Absolutely love these 18" doll dress forms! They are so well made, fit the doll dresses perfectly and I'm obsessed with how they look with the wooden stand and topper! 💯

This doll form is perfect for displaying all of my 18-inch doll Felicity's lovely gowns I make for her. Easy to assemble and high-quality. Packed well and came quickly. Highly recommend.

The form is useful for fitting, finishing, and styling fashions for 18” dolls like the American Girl doll series. I use it for dresses, skirts, tops, outerwear, and accessories. It’s only real drawback is pants, which cannot be fully used with the form. You can pin pants to the waist of the form to check length or to see how they look with a top. Also helpful for photographing finished clothing.

This is a great dress form for doll clothes making. But the body came apart from the top neck ring with first use. Needed to glue it back on. After that, it works good and the clothes fit the american doll.

This dress form arrived well packed and in perfect condition. Since I sew for my granddaughter's doll, I only had two outfits here to try on my fitting doll. The original dress (Madame Alexander) was a snug fit on the doll form. I had to really squeeze the form at first, to close the velcro back. It got easier and easier the next few times I tried the dress on, so perhaps compressing the form more will help make it smaller.A loose fitting knit top with back snaps, which I made, was very easy to slip onto the dress form. The Madame Alexander doll has a vinyl upper body (nice for necklines and sundresses), unlike the American Girl's soft upper body. The dress form tapers from the shoulder width to the waist, while the Madame Alexander doll has straight sides, so the dress form is a bit bulkier just below the arms.I would still use the doll for elastic measurements and the final fit. But the form will be a big help during the designing, sewing, and accessorizing process. The form is well made, and it's so much easier to slip a garment onto it than a large doll.Update: I would like to upgrade this form to 5 stars! I just finished sewing a Hermione Granger (Harry Potter) robe for my granddaughter's doll, and the doll stand was extremely helpful. Trying on a hooded robe for fittings was simpler than on an 18-inch doll. The whole sewing process with lining, wand pocket, and closures was easier with the form. And I enjoyed seeing my project, in progress, on display.

The body of the form is of good quality and well crafted. It will work beautifully for making dresses that fit American Girl sized dolls for a beginner sewer using it for practice and is definitely worth the money. The only thing I would change is the quality and sturdiness of the base. The base is a little flimsy compared to the quality of the actual form and arrived in two pieces. It would be much nicer if it was metal or came in one piece. I will update in time as to how it has held up to a newbie abusing it.
