I like having random musical instruments around for recording with because you never know when you need a unique sound. I haven't played recorder since elementary school, but thought this would be a fun addition to that collection. The black color makes it look like a nice, professional instrument. It sounds good too. It can be very loud if you want. It plays as I remember and only took a little practice to be able to bust some melodies out on it. I would suggest this for kids, for adults, for anyone wanting to rock out on a recorder.

A decent recorder for learning or practice. It works as expected. The sound quality is that of a plastic recorder... so take that for what it's worth. It looks good and sounds fine for what it is. I have no complaints about it. And it's nice that it comes with a cleaning rod.

All the fun you remember as a kid learning these things in class can be yours again for super low price! Makes a great gift to your friends AND your enemies just give these to any kids in your life and spread both the joy of music to those who are gifted and the unending shrill nightmare to those who aren't lol. Very fun to play with as well and easily the first stop in ANYONES musical journey, these are basically the next step after learning to hum a tune. Sound quality is as to be expected and it's very well constructed for what it is. A++ I love it

I got this for my 7 year old son because he loves music. I wasn't expecting too much for the price of this recorder/flute. When I opened it from the packaging I was pleasantly surprised on just how hefty and well made this seems to be. Nothing seemed cheap to me at all.It plays music just as it should and even included some sample note chords to play. It also comes with a cleaning tool to use.Over all, I would say this an excellent instrument for starting anyone out on!

The kid needed one of these for music class. It seems to put together and work like it should, and it's pretty cheap.
