Dampener is thicker than I expected. I cut each sheet into 4 squares, and reached into my car door openings and placed them in various areas. Actually made my car slightly quieter and feels/sounds more solid when closing the door. Improved my midbass too! I couldn't fit a roller inside, however I rubbed them into the metal with my fingers and they are very stuck. I rarely write reviews if that says anything. Good product for sure.

Great sound deadening material, using in combination with closed cell foam over the top, and the effect when put in the doors of my Mazda have been GREAT!Highly recommend this stuff, it's a little heavy, but I've found that even small strips on a panel can cut down resonance a lot, so there's no need to fully cover the panel if trying to keep weight down.

I'm familiar with products like this for car vibration dampening (removing road and radio noise). But it also works wonders in some keyboards if you're trying to kill some resonant plasticky sounds. I added a layer of this to the bottom of a KPRepublic bm60 plastic case and it did wonders to improve the sound profile and add some weight to a too light keyboard. I did also wind up adding about 1.5mm of EVA foam on top of this to further kill some high pitched sounds. The Good:- Affordable, small batch sound matt for small projects.- Sticky but not too sticky. Unlike some butyl products, you're not going to be scrubbing with GoJo for 20 minutes to get it off your hands.- Cuts easily with a hobby knife.- No odor. The Bad:- It will have some fold marks from the way it's packaged. Plan around if you're thinking about using this is a visible location.

This 2 pack is a good starter set for my trunk sound dampening project. I have a hatchback and it does not require much in the way of dampening mats since it's mostly glass. The thickness and density is good for sound mitigation. The thicker it is, the heavier and that might affect how easily my hatch opens and the life of my lid struts. These mats are similar to other name brand mats on the market and should work great for it's purpose. The amount of vibration and external road noise is reduced, but I will have to add more for a cumulative effect. If you play loud bassy music having these mats will surely help with improving the sound quality since it reduces vibrations that can cause rattles and distortion.

Does a great job of blocking noise, and the glue is very strong. Thanks!

After installing new car speakers the doors in my Honda Civic were rattling, so I applied these cut to fit squares, the vibration/rattling noise is gone now

I used this sound deadener to get rid of rattles coming from the trunk spoiler of my 2013 Honda Accord Coupe. I have two subwoofers in the trunk so over time the vibrations breakdown the anchors and loosen the spoiler. The full length of the bottom of this spoiler is in contact with the trunk lid, not two or three points like some others. Even after finding ways to tighten it I still had considerable rattles so I needed something weather resistant that I could put between the spoiler and trunk lid. I removed the spoiler and cut strips of this product applying them to the trunk lid where the spoiler would sit. It was easy to cut with large scissors. When cutting smaller pieces, the product becomes like a puddy because it comes loose from the backing material. This doesn't seem to reduce it's effectiveness in my application, however and actually allows the product to be formed into spaces easier. I used handheld rollers to ensure good adhesion and when I reinstalled the spoiler, there was definitely an improvement in dampening. So far, I'm happy with the performance of this product.

These are super thin sheets. Not really sold on much mass dampening from them, but I'll bet they'll work well for reducing rattles around a speaker assembly like the description shows.
