If you do SV, you need this to stop evaporation. But, some of these covers are smaller and only good for pans that may not be deep enough for your cooker. This one allows for almost any pan you might use and does its job well.

The hole isn’t large enough to fit my Anova. But it fits over my pot well so I just cut it a little larger. Nothing exceptional about it.

Finally gave in and got a sous vide machine. Bought this silicon cover to use in conjunction with my 8 qt cast iron. Set it up for a 24 hour cook (chuck steak) and it worked great in keeping the condensation in. I actually did not need to refill the water at all during the 24 hour period. I think it was meant to fit an anova unit, but worked really well with my joule.Would definitely recommend it.

This is cover is not specific to Anova, but can be used with many other sous vide devices. Just measure the diameter of your sous vide device and stock pot to determine if everything will fit properly. I did and am very pleased to have this extra piece to accompany my sous vide set-up.
