Works great, just what I needed. I needed to trace some cable coax lines in my wall to figure out what rooms they went to, and this worked perfectly. The listing wasn't 100% clear how the end point connected for coax since it only has an ethernet port, but you connect an ethernet to male coax adapter (included), then if needed connect a female to female coax adapter (also included) to connect to the wall plug. Easy peasy, and this was cheaper than some of the cheesy looking alternatives for sale, and feels like a nice quality tool

I recently bought a newer house that has all the Ethernet cables and coax cables installed, but none of them were labeled. Used this tool to easily find where each cable went! Now I can easily manage my home network setup. Very happy with this purchase.

I've owned one of these for a couple of years now. I've watched as co-workers are testing data cables that happen to be plugged into a POE enabled switch and destroy the cheap unit they have. This Southwire unit is POE safe and works. No fuss, no advanced setup, it just works.I'm so happy with these units I'm starting to set up our technicians with them.

This cable continuity tester, does exactly what it supposed to do. It’s easy to use. It’s easy to read and understand what’s happening. The unit is made out of decent material so it doesn’t really feel like a toy and has all the connections that you need to check cable lines and ethernet lines. The Bluetooth feature is nice so you don’t have to have two of them for one and then the other other than that like I said it works like it’s supposed to.

Arrived quickly. Good value. Easy to use. If a case we're included, that would be better

I used it for testing my work on 6A wire with 6A shielded connectors from a 6A shielded punch down patch panel I ran through my house (15 wires so far). It picked out the good from bad. BTW purchase a flat wire snip for keystones connectors. Regular wire cutters leave too much wire exposed. I didn't think it was bad price. Well made and has lots of attachments to make testing easier. Worked perfect for my needs. I did not try it on coaxial cable.

Works as advertised. The tester is almost too simple - hence the read the instructions first reminder. Testing a cable that is simple, plug the cable into the device and press the big red button. Where it becomes a bit more subtle is when you get a mis-wired cable. The tester will indicate a problem, but it's not intuitive on how to figure out which pair is mis-wired. The instructions provide the info you'll need to figure out your solution.

I'm not a professional and wanted to run some cat6a cable around my house and to some outbuildings. Never having terminated cat6a, it takes many mistakes to get the terminals right. My old tester developed a disease and was giving me bad readings. This tester is relatively easy to use (I guess it has many functions, but I only use it to test network cable - I can't actually follow the directions for the troubleshooting) and has greatly helped me with this project as I can immediately see if my termination works.

This meter has all the features I required and seemed to work very well for my requirements. The device is both sturdy and conveniently sized.
