Now before you go on about glass being better than plastic hydrometer, I tested both in my brew with the same readings. After breaking one glass I decided to get this. Now yes it is a good product, I didn't mind spending the money on a durable item that'll last. The only gripe I have is that the sealing cap at the top didn't seal, if they would have sealed it like a glass hydrometer I think they'd have a top product. Instead when I was sanitizing my equipment I noticed that water got into the hydrometer and smudged the paper insert. Couldn't they have added a plastic insert or markings on the plastic instead?

After only a few uses and less than 3 months this product has failed and started to let in fluids. I have reached out to the company to try and make right on this product and have yet to hear anything back. I would skip this product and this company altogether.

This dose not read accurate it's about 5 points off compared to my glass ones. But it's nice to have in reserve in case I break both of my glass ones yes it's happened before lol

It leaks from the top when liquid splashes. Tested it with water by submerging it for a few seconds and started to bleed into paper inside.I ordered a replacement from them and that one leaked too so I asked for it to be reimbursed and sent the replacement back.If you just need a backup it work for you but I didn't like it.I didn't check for accuracy.
