The product description is inaccurate--if you are not careful, you will be disappointed--as I am now!What you need to know is that the Metric measurement is probably the accurate number to go by--the English measurement is only an estimate!I needed this adaptor for use with 3/8 inch tubing. The description says for 1/4 - 3/8 inch tubing. But 3/8 tubing will not form a sealed compression fit on this adapter--it is loose!If you convert 3/8 inch into metric, you will get 9.525 mm. The metric description for this product is 9.5 - 6.4 mm. So, 3/8 inch tubing which is 9.525 mm is going to be larger than the 9.5 mm by 0.025 mm. Doesn't sound like much difference, but a 3/8 inch tube will simply wobble around on the barb of this adapter, and fail to form a compression fitting seal--simply falls off.It was my mistake that I did not immediately confirm that this item worked as described. It has been several months since I ordered, and received this item, so returning does not appear to be an option any longer.So be forewarned, use the Metric measurement description for this product, and convert any tubing size you plan on using into Metric as well in order to place an accurate order!
