holds up outdoor and indoor, nice quality, nice feel. I would say it is a little lighter than the average basketball but it's barely noticeable. I would buy it again!

Great customer service. Our ball came with some sort of leak, and kept deflating slightly. The seller sent us a new one immediately, and it’s great! Good bounce and grip.. very happy with the purchase, thank you!

I use this ball primarily for outdoor courts and it's fantastic. Good bounce and feel to it. Upgrading from a rubber ball to this was a world of difference, although it did need several pumps of air to achieve perfect bounce (drop the ball from shoulder height and it should bounce to your waist). My only complaints are that the grooves are very shallow, I prefer deep grooves for feel. Also can collect dirt and become a little slippery. If I could this ball would get a 4.5/5. Overall a very good outdoor ball for the price.

I play basketball outdoors all the time and was in need of a new ball. This ball is cool because of the grip on it and the design. The only thing about outdoor basketballs is if u don’t clean it on the regular it wears out fast. That’s why I would recommend to at least get two of these. That way the ball doesn’t wear out as fast.

The Spalding TF Series basketball is fantastic! It offers an incredible grip and feels great in my hands, whether I’m playing indoors or outdoors. The durability is impressive; it holds up well on different surfaces without losing its bounce or feel. I’ve used it for casual games and more competitive play, and it performs beautifully every time. The quality is top-notch, making it worth every penny. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a versatile and reliable basketball!

Used the ball for 3 short sessions so far on an outdoor court, overall grip feels good though the ball felt a little too bouncy. Weird thing is theres 1 panel that is wearing off rather quickly compared to the rest, would think its a quality control issue but the rate of the wear is quite bad.

I purchased a Spalding Zi/0 Excel basketball in 2016 which has had good outdoor use on the concrete driveway court. It still has fine grip and the ball integrity is still good. I decided to get a series 2022 Spaulding ZI/O Excel basketball. It arrived fully inflated. When I bounced it, I could tell from the tinny sound and the high bounce that it was over-inflated. I let out about 4 pounds of air to the level where it sounded and bounced much better. The proper official weight for a basketball is between 20-22 ounces. I weighed them both. The 2016 weighed 20.85 ounces and the 2022 version weighed 21.05 ounces. Both were within the standard. The new 2022 version was very tacky and grippy out of the box. I could even palm the ball - which I usually cannot do. However, just playing with it a few minutes on the outdoor court got the ball dusty and dirty and the ball wasn't nearly as tacky - but it was still grippy enough to get good rotation on the ball. Oddly, the 2016 ball - even after 5 years - seemed a little more grippy. I don't know if they changed the composite cover material or not. It will take some wear and tear for me to evaluate the new ball better.Overall, the ball seemed well made and of proper weight and size. The grip was acceptable and it played fine. At this time, I will give the ball a 5-star review.
