Solid rim for kids or light shooting. Definitely does not take to well to constant use and I would suggest to never dunk on it at all, even if you aren’t hanging. Mine cracked after 5.5 months. And that was strictly just shooting. Like twice a day 5 times a week. But for the money I can’t complain. 38$ or so for 5.5 months isn’t too bad. All the parks in LA have the rims down. So it was nice to be able to put it up and shoot.

I bought this rim to replace my old out of shape basketball rim. The rim was perfect fit for my Spalding® Hercules Acrylic Portable Basketball System, 54-in net. Unfortunately, it was quiet a pain to install it due to netting. Another thing that was annoying was the screw were too small , I had to reuse the old screw that came with the net. It has been a year since i bought and attached the rim and I have to say it was worth every penny

No issues with this product, seems well built and for a good price. Shipped quickly. Mounted it to a sturdy piece of plywood. Very affordable way to get set up for playing basketball and works great!

I bought this rim when the weld point broke on the old one. The bolt pattern on my the backboard is 3" wide x 2 5/8" tall. I couldn't find any replacement rims with this exact specification, so I took a chance with this one. It worked fine without any modification. The rim seems to be well made. I am happy.

Our portable rim blew over in the wind and bent. This was a good replacement. It’s not super heavy duty but it’s good enough and works fine. Much cheaper than having to buy a whole new setup.

Bolted right up to a 30 year old metal goal (you know, back when they made things to last). I feel like this goal will last years also. Very nice powder coating and solid welds. Nice and hefty to let you know they didn't skimp on making it. Net is fine and looks great. My kids don't dunk on the rim so I'm sure it will last a long time. The included hardware was perfect and the bolts were plenty long. Very happy. Would definitely buy again, but judging by the quality I don't think I'll need to anytime soon.

High winds tipped my basketball hoop over too many times. The rim got bent upward and was no longer a perfect circle. It was more of an oval and this made it very difficult to shoot on. I held off a year ago buying a replacement rim but I finally pulled the trigger this year on the Spalding Standard Rim. After getting the rim installed I realized I should have not waited an extra year. This rim is a lifesaver.For anyone wondering, I own a Reebok basketball hoop that I bought from Costco. I was worried about other rims not fitting correctly but this Spalding rim is perfect. It fits right into place of the old rim and bolts right on. Within 30 minutes of starting I was draining shots. The rim comes with a new net and all the hardware you will need; bolts, nuts, and washers.For the money you can't go wrong. Plus Spalding has such a big footprint in the game of basketball I knew it would be high quality. If anyone is looking to replace a rim, buy this right now. You won't be disappointed. And whatever you do, don't wait a year or two like I did to replace. Get that sucker replaced and get to shooting!

Spalding's Standard Rim replacement is solidly constructed and should stand up to lots a basketball play. It has the attached steel rams for holding the enclosed new net but does not come with a compression spring. I was hoping to be able to use the old rim's but it was permanently attached. This comes with all the nuts, washers, bolts to connect to the backboard. Installation time for me was about a half an hour. Unless you can get the Sporting Goods Stores to give you a good discount, this is a pretty good price for a replacement rim. If you are in need of replacing or updating your old basketball hoop, this one is well worth getting.
