It's fine as a sae tape measure but is misleading that the metric scale is on the bottom. So if you don't need Metric measurements it's fine.I do and the description is wrong.

This is the first time I thought about getting a fancy tape measure. I was not disappointed! This thing is cool the laser feature is dead on when you follow directions. I also like the display and the quality of the tool good materials and the tape seems very sturdy. Got out about 12 to 14 feet before it bent down. Also like you can change the unit of measurement on the laser which is pretty sweet!

Was a nice compact measuring tape loved the magnetic part till it fell off after a drop or 2 at waist heights and I'm 5'4

Like a lot of guys, I own a bunch of tape measures. I think the Sparkey has just replaced my tried-and-true Stanley Powerlock as my favorite! To be clear, this review is for the 16ft tape/130ft laser version. Let's run through the features that I like...It has a rubberized case that won't slip out of your hand. The markings on the tape include inches and fractions on the front and inches and centimeters on the back. The tape measure has an auto-lock feature that locks the tape at whatever point it is pulled out to. You push the button on the bottom to retract it. The tape is 3/4" wide and I was able to extend it to 5.5 ft before it bent. The tape catch is magnetic and is quite strong. The laser is turned on by a long press on the "MEAS" button. Press the button once again to measure. The laser deactivates after each measurement. To take another measurement simply press the button to activate the laser and then press it again to take the measurement. The measuring baseline can be set to either the front or rear of the unit. The laser has an auto power-off after three minutes. I tested the laser's accuracy alongside my Bosch GLM 50 C Laser Measure and the Sparkey was within 1/1000". The digital display is very clear, has great contrast and is easy to read. Measuring units can be set to metric or feet/inches. The unit arrived with the battery fully charged and after playing around with it for the better part of an hour the charge was at 2/3 full. Recharging is via a micro USB port on the side of the measure. A charging cable as well as a USB C adapter are included.I do wish it had a USB C charging port instead of including an adapter as that's just one more thing to lose, Durability over the long term has yet to be determined, however, If it doesn't stand up to daily use I'll update this review.I really do love this thing! (My dogs love it too. They went absolutely bonkers chasing the laser)
