These are light little pliers, nice quality, the alignment of the tips are spot on, a little small in hand but you are not going to be wrenching down on any big projects with this type of pliers anyway so the grip is fine. That’s the pro’s. The problem I had was that the advertised length of the straight nosed pliers stated over 3 inches, this is not true. I received the first set and immediately started the return process, I really wanted the pliers so I took the replacement offer. I received the second set, hoping it was just a packaging error. Nope they were exactly the same. The second set will be going back as well. If you need or just want that extra long straight needle nosed pliers then avoid these.

The long skinny nose is perfect for small fish. I just dont like the fact that the tip doesn’t close all the way it makes it hard to grip the really small hooks.

I bought these hoping I could use them in "reverse" to allow me to replace the rubber "bands" (tubes) on my Barnett Pro Diablo slingshot. The seven-inch, long-reach features were really important to being able to open the rubber tube and slip it onto the slingshot. My worry was that the pliers would not be strong enough and I would bend them. I used two 13-inch pieces of 5/8-inch pipe to increase my leverage, placing the pipe on the handles. These worked fabulously and did not bend or distort. If you need strong, long-reach pliers, I highly recommend these.
