I’m using these packs with an Avian 15amp ESC in my FMS 800mm RC planes. The ESC has an IC2 connector, just like these packs. It’s a perfect, lightweight combo for those smaller planes. Getting 5 or 6 minutes of flight time. You don’t need an expensive Smart charger. Not having to worry about discharging packs with my busy life is really helpful. Highly recommend.

I believe the Blade 230s can fly even with a 1500mAh battery, and it would balance out the tail heaviness aswell.

It's mentioned in several places in this listing, but I still overlooked that these are G2 Batteries (my fault).. that means they're meant to work on G2 smart chargers.. G2 means they DO NOT HAVE BALANCE LEADS. I have 3 expensive balance chargers that I expected to use with this. Fortunately I had a small and inexpensive S150 G2 charger I'd forgotten about that does a surprisingly good job. I can't charge 4 at a time like i intended, but it works fairly well.The battery itself does a great job. It's the obvious upgrade next to the 600, which DOES have balance leads. Performance difference is proportional between them.. 30% more energy, offset by a weight increase so that it feels more like 15-18% longer runs on a light airframe.

Sucks you have to buy these batteries at twice what they are worth. Transmitter prices are insane. A $200 radio master tx is more capable then a $1200 spektrum tx. Get out of their ecosystem asap. Now for the overpriced batteries. They work. I get around 10 mins flight time in safe with a Blade 230s smart.

Bought 2 of these to jump into some of Spektrums 'smart' stuff in my backyard flyers. Hooked one up to a brand new S155 G2 charger, it showed there was a battery update, so I let it update, which in turn bricked the battery and made it dumb. Tried with the second battery and it did the same. Back to amazon they went and replaced with 2 new ones which are working fine. So.. be warned, trying to update the battery may brick it. Not sure if this is the case with all the batteries or just a problem with these 850's.
