Landing Assist Sensor for Smoother Landings
The Spektrum™ Landing Assist Sensor (LAS) is easy to install and provides automatic flare control to help inexperienced pilots 'grease' landings by minimizing or completely eliminating bouncing (works over many/most surfaces and provides optimum performance when flying over/landing on grass).
The Landing Assist Sensor is compatible with the E-flite® Habu STS, E-flite® Apprentice STS, and HobbyZone® Carbon Cub S 2.

I don’t fault the part. I’m sure it would have done SOMETHING if I was a better pilot. 4 stars because I personally haven’t seen it work. It stayed in place even when the front half of the plane smooshed in like a tin can

Can't rely on this to assist your landing. Don't waste you money and if your plane included it for free just throw it in trash. You will be better learning landing without this and will probobly have a better experience. WOULD NOT RECCOMEND VERY FLAWED.

What a difference the landing assist makes! As you come in for a landing and get close, simply drop the throttle all the way. This sensor enables the ECU to provide additional throttle at the perfect time to raise the nose for a perfect landing. The sensor can be easily disabled by changing the flight assist mode on your controller. My recommendation for new pilots, add the landing assist to learn how to perform a proper landing before attempting on your own and flipping your plane.
