Trying to train my kids not to freak out over spiders like I do. Knowledge is power. I bought a bunch of these and I was expecting this one to be small but it’s literally as big as the tarantula we have.

Spider and resin would have been great if there was not a bubble right where the head was or is but other than that it’s great I just don’t like the bubble you can’t really see a tad

I bought a couple of the resin insects as a gift and the recipient loved them. So happy with the purchase.

My 6 year old is obsessed with bugs, nature, and biology in general, and was so excited to get this! It’s a real spider encased in a resin block, and it looks really cool. This makes for a great gift!

I had no idea what kind of critter would arrive, but it turned out to be (what looks at a quick glance like) a water spider. It is in fantastic shape, and the legs and pedipalps are stretched out so they can be seen very clearly. I haven't looked at it under a microscope, but I don't see any reason to think they wouldn't be easily visible. The only problem is a problem that is common with any preserved spider--the inner soft bits of the abdomen tend to pull away from the exoskeleton unless they are in a liquid (alcohol, formaldehyde, etc). Sorry for the detour. Anyway....It's a great specimen. If I complained about anything, it would be that it wasn't identified. It would have been nice to have at least the species identification in the block.
