We have a soaker hose system in our garden to keep it watered properly, but the challenges are that we rarely get out there to turn it on at the ideal time, and often let it run too long. This timer takes care of the problem.You can set a daily watering schedule or activate it manually for a specific length of time. You select the time with a knob... much easier than using a series of buttons, but setup isn't completely intuitive. Keep tha manual on hand.You can also manually activate a rain delay to prevent excess watering on rainy days without cancelling your program.If I have any concern it's that the product only has IP55 ingress protection. While that should hold up to rain and spraying, I'd wnat to see something more durable for garden uses, especially if the faucet/hose is leaky and exposes the timer to more constant water. We'll see how it holds up over time.I needed to use pliers to remove the battery compartment... a problem, but probably because the waterproof seal was adequately tight.I also got the version with plastic fittings. If I was to do it again, I'd spend the money for the brass fittings at both ends. This is in a place with sun exposure and I expect the fittings to degrade over a few years.It comes with a sediment screen on the input side, some plumbing tape, a reducing adapter, an extra rubber washer, and a male portion of a quick release adapter that fits common plastic quick release systems.

This water timer is very accurate and so very helpful. I had thought that the dials could be a bit difficult without verbage on the face but I found the read out to be easy to follow and set. Each prompt shows brightly on the display screen and selections for programming is very simple. The timer turns on and off every time. It works very well.You can set the clock to military or standard time, 12 or 24 hour settings for the clock.This is a great product, well made of hard pvc, a bright well sealed screen thats very easy to program. A huge help with consistent and even watering making the garden healthier. The batteries appear to last a long time, batteries not included. I did use the enclosed plumbers tape and have not experienced any leaking. It’s also not too heavy to hang off your faucet.Definitely recommend this water meter because performs perfectly and gives peace of mind when it comes to keeping up with water the garden. Saves water and does the job at the same time.

This is pretty neat. It's still too cold right now for me to start my in ground garden. I did put this onto the spicket and drip hose. It worked fine once I turned the water on. I spent a little time on the setting and again no problem I've heard from others that the most they ever got of these is 2 years. We'll see, even still it's be worth it I think.

Works with 2 AA battery and is so easy to install it comes with teflon and extra parts. but I didn't use the extra parts. I just connected literally 5 mins. You will first set the time. and then later set your schedule how often and how long. and let it do his job. Also you can water manually. timer works well and it functions with no problem

Nice water timer with simple operation - the top knob rotates and you can press down the center. Easy to operate.It comes with a quick-connect tip, hose washer, Teflon tape and a tag with the customer service email.

So far, this hose timer is working fine. I am using it on a small drip system with a 25 PSI regulator and a 1/4" drip line. I go through a couple of these a year and I thought I would give this one a shot. They usually don't last more than a year with the Sun baking them constantly. It works about the same as the others I have had so far.I am pretty disappointed that it doesn't have an option to set the days of the week you want to water on as there are water restrictions in the city I live in. Without this feature I set it to start on one of my watering days and just repeat every third day. I knew about this setting being missing when I ordered though. It's pretty hard to find hose timers with a day of week setting, especially for this price.I like the spinning knob on this unit. Some of them take a long time to get stuff set but the spinning dial made it go pretty easy.

My wife planted some new vegetables and flowers in our box garden and I got this Sprinkler Timer for Garden, Programmable Irrigation Hose Timers, Water Timer with Rain Delay/Manual/Automatic Watering System for her use. She loves it as it saves her taking time out to water her garden. She said it was easy to setup and connect to our faucet and drip hoses. She had to watch the watering the first two times to get the timing down, but after that, it's 'set and forget!' She gives this 5 stars, and I'm pleased with this purchase!
