This year all the ski instructors got new jackets, and since I'm one of them, I got a new jacket, too. The problem is the new jackets are flat black with cobalt blue trim. And none of my ski bibs matched the color. After searching around I came across these bibs by Spyder and figured I'd give them a shot. They match the color on the jacket very closely so that's a plus. They're also highly visible (hi-vis) and that's a good thing too, because it's a real bummer if my students can't find me. Nice and roomy through the crotch and they're well insulated. Groin zippers will come in real handy on 30+ degree days. Nice zippered pockets will help keep your stuff where you put it so it doesn't end up all over the slopes (one rear zippered pocket). Elastic boot gators will fit down nicely over your ski boots and help keep snow from getting inside your boots. Nothing worse than skiing with wet feet. They also have scuff guards on the inside of each cuff to help prevent cuts from either your board or skis moving against your lower leg. The waistband is adjustable on both sides so that makes customization of the fit pretty easy. I have several other Spyder ski apparel pieces and have been very pleased with how they hold up. Hoping the same is the case for this pair of ski pants.

Unfortunately they were too big. I love my spider snow pants and wanted my husband to have a pair but they just didn’t fit right. Had to return.

If you like looking old and frumpy, these are the pants for you! They function just fine but they look like they are a holdover from the 60s. One day maybe Spyder will catch up to the rest of the ski world. I love my Spyder jackets so I tried their pants... What a disappointment! They fit funny and look funny.
