Cheap upgrade, fixed the gearing on my mongoose BSO in conjunction with a mega gear freewheel so that i can now reasonably tackle up hill. Easy install and a slight tweak allowed me to use the chain guard that shipped with the bike.

Works like a crankset should. Cranks are stiffer than I’d expect at their price range. I’m actually pretty impressed at the overall value of the crankset, chainring and bolts. Be sure and use Loctite when installing chainring bolts. Reading through the other reviews, it seems like other purchasers omitted this step and suffered the consequences.

I went from a 3x7 to 1x7 on my Trek 820 . You will LOVE this ! The bike never shifted as smooth . This fits the chain like a GLOVE , no slipping EVER ! Believe me I rode this VERY HARD . The best money you will ever spend !

I used this to convert my GT Aggressor Pro bike to 1X. Chainline alignment was perfect. The large/small teeth on the chainring really seem to help the chain from coming off in the rough stuff. I was constantly remounting the chain on the original stock setup. This also strips about a pound of weight from the bike. Durablility seems fine after a few rides. Definitely recommend.

These fit my bike perfect and are great quality. Way better then the cheap one that came with my bike and warped.

Two days before I was taking my new bike out for its first trail ride I decided I wanted to change the 2x gearing to a 1x. Easy enough with the right tools. I didnt have all the right tools. I tried to use a steering wheel puller to remove the crank arm and what do you know, I bent up the arms. Well, NO bike shop had a replacement crank in stock so I ordered this one and received it a day later. It went right on, worked as it should, and came with a chain ring which is now a cheap spare if I ever need it. The crank arms are similar in weight to my stock arms. I'd buy it again if I needed to.

Failed after 2 months. Installed on a European city bike with chaincase. Was hearing and feeling popping and grinding, but thought it was from the cheap bottom bracket. Then a few days ago I stomped on the pedals to outrun a semi and the chain ring came off. Seems several bolts had fallen off over the weeks. They were tightened down as much as I could get them. Simply not worth the money! Chain rings should be permanently bolted on for safety. A product recall may be in order. Will be keeping an eye out for a decent Shimano or Sturmey archer set once stocks come back.

It's a heavy duty alloy. I used it to replaced my 3x to 1x crankset.

If you want a cheap quick way to convert to 1x with out changing the square tampered carterage bearings lower bracket, this will do the job. It's simple and it works what else can I say. Great price too.

Bought the single chain ring for a fixie-franken bike project. Worked out great! Got quite a bit of heavy use this season, and held up perfectly. Very good quality material and manufacturing, at this price, you can't go wrong.
