Worked as intended to secure hardwood to subflooring. The nails make prematurely break if you're not to careful with the drilling.

For the most part this is just a set of screws that can intentionally break off the head stem. You screw them into the floor in various places near a squeak and tighten down the wood floor to stop the movement of the floor to stop the squeak.That is the good part. The reality for me was that I had to sink a couple of dozen screws in a small area of the floor to (mostly) stop the squeaks. This is not a flaw in the product, just a statement of reality. If you have a lot of squeaks you will have to put a lot of holes in the floor to get results. I am not certain there are better options if you don't have access to the floor from below, just go in with your eyes open.The bad part, the product comes with a special square driver that matches the screw heads. It also has a guide that is designed to work with the driver that you are supposed to be able to place the screw in and drive it. When it is at the right depth, the screw head should break off. You fill the resulting hole with some wood putty and you are done. Well, the very first screw I drove in got to the right depth and I heard a 'snap"... I thought the screw head broke off as designed. No, the small square on the driver broke instead. So much for the process.Luckily the square driver is standard so I was able to use it instead. I would drive the screws to roughly the right depth and then use the tool to bend the screw head back and forth to snap off the head.Ultimately I was able to do roughly what was needed, but the quality of the tool (except the screws themselves) was poor.

Works well for repairing floors until the driver tool wears out. It’s designed to slip out once the screw is in far enough. But,the tool lasted about 15 uses. Making it unusable.
