Solid controllable braking with a gorgeous finish. Prefer these SRAM Force calipers over SRAM Red calipers on both my SL4 Pro and S-Works, though I use Red brake levers.

Rival and Rival 22 is extremely close in performance to Force 22 and I say that across the board. Other than weight, there is just not a huge improvement between the two that justifies Force's cost. I have force on one of my bikes and while it looks better and is lighter, it doesn't perform better in my opinion. With that said, focusing on this review, Rival 22 has excellent stopping power and is very good. It's really a solid value. However, when you go to buy, if older Rival is cheaper, buy that instead of Rival 22 brakes, even if you're running Rival 22 or Force 22 shifters. So, I definitely recommend these, but check the prices! If older Rival is cheaper, these are only approximately 10 grams heavier for a pair and there is NO performance difference.Cheers!

Replaced the stock brakes on my Scott with these, and they are great. They stop me as well as my disc brakes on my other bikes. I actually have to be mindful of how much brake I pull on these if I am not seated. I wanted to get a road bike with disc to help stop my mass, after upgrading to these, no need.

Was gibt es schon bei einem Gebrauchartikel zu schreiben. Lieferung war okay, Zustand war neu wie erwartet und Funktion ist wie erwartet. No complaints.

Gran producto.

Great, low profile brakes. I am typically a mountain biker so when I installed these on a single speed I was blown away at 1. How easy they are to install 2. How easy they are to adjust and 3. How great they look. Literally took me 5 minutes to install each.

Installed on a 17 year old Trek roadbike. Very light easy to install brake caliper set. Like the caliper centering adjustment and didn't notice much difference in the return spring adjustment. Also bought the SRAM Apex for my son's bike which is similar in design but a heavier material and no return spring adjustment. If you don't care about weight the Apex is another good choice for half the price.

These are some of the best brakes that I've had and they are fairly cheap too. The construction is solid and the brake pads scream "I work, use me!" They're easy to install and adjust. However I will give it 4 stars because of the paint job. They are powder coated and looks great but there were scratches all over. It was packaged very well and I'm pretty sure it wasn't from shipping. Also, when I ordered it, I only wanted the front brake. On the drop down list where it says size, there is an option for either front or rear but not both. I chose just the front and the price was just $36. However they charged me $57 and they sent me both. It's fulfilled by Amazon so I'm not sure who made the mistake. It's a good buy and I highly recommend these brakes as long as you don't need a perfect paint job.

I have been looking to replace the stock Tektro brake calipers that came on my 2010 Cannondale Caad9 5. They don't brake well, and are black with red barrel adjusters. The red accent looks especially meh on my bike, which is blue with some black and white decals. I could have just replaced the brakepads on those tektros to improve braking but what the heck, I needed an excuse to upgrade parts and make bike pretty! The Sram Apex brakeset fits my need. They are glossy white, and they brake well. Installation is the same with all dual-pivot brake calipers, so it was pretty easy. Did not even have to look at the instructions. The only minor let-down is that their braking power isn't as good as other reviews say. They do brake noticeably better than my Tektros, but not as strong as some reviews made it out to be. Of course, when you are going 30MPH, you aren't going to come to an immediate stop, and shouldn't anyway for safety reasons. I believe if I replaced the brakepads with some koolstops the Apex would brake like any other top of the line brakesets. After all, the mechanics and technology is trickled all the way down from the Red line, and the only difference is the material and weight. (Don't quote me on this though).Pricing wise, I have to praise Amazon once again. This brakeset sells online (amazon 3rd party, ebay) for around $70 (shipping included, some sellers sell for $60 but charges like a $8 shipping fee). I got these sold by Amazon for $42, with Prime shipping and everything. At first I thought it was just for one brake caliper, but I got both shipped to my door in just 2 days. Thank you Amazon!

I bought this brakeset after having to decide between it and the SRAM Red brakeset. The only difference that I could find between the two was about 12-14 grams of weight difference! But those grams come at quite a cost difference. The Red brakeset was $120.00+ more. You won't get $120.00 more braking power and these are basically the same brakesets. The Force group provides a real bang for your buck in performance. I have been nothing but pleased running these with carbon brakepads and carbon wheelset. They won't let you down.
