This is what I use, it's a few links long do yourself a favor buy the better chain tool. This chain has quick links and all high quality, my first choice for my 1-8 speed MTN machine! Don't be fooled that's a 34 front chain ring and converted to pressed bearings from tapered heavy bolt style. Hollow tube with pressed bearings and a good chain, amazing!

Been riding for about a year now. No issues. Virtually no wear. Easy install.

Purchased two chains and installed one on a Trek FX2. Installed easily and the price was right. Since they go hand in hand, can't speak to durability or value until I've put more miles on the road. Usually ride 70-80 miles/week and have ridden about 250 miles with the new chain. Was previously using the PC-850, but they weren't available on Amazon. If I get 2000 miles out of this chain, would rate the chain as 5 stars.

I have been using Taya and Sram chains for eternity. I still have a new Taya from probably 15 or more years ago that I will putting on a full rebuild of an old Schwinn Traveler. However, I have come to like the PINS in Sram chains over all other brands. Their ends raise upwards a bit instead of having recessed portions. When using the Taya quick connector, I had issues with it coming undone on a ride. Even though the Sram pro link quick connector uses a different connecting procedure and mechanism, I choose to bypass these links in favor of direct connect. The Sram pins can be pushed out into the outer plate without pushing the pin 'through' the outer plate. Once I remove the links I need to remove, I reconnect with the pin that's still in the outer plate, use my chain tool (It's not a chain break if you aren't breaking anything) to push the pin back through until it projects out of the opposite side as much as the side of the tool. Then, with a small flat head screw driver, you pry outward at that pin from within the INNER plate gap (not the out plate gap). This will release the compression tension that occurred on that particular pin/link and enable it to rotate freely. You can also use the chain itself to deflect the angle back and forth (in the same manner that the chain naturally curves from low chainring to low cog or large ring to large cog). A combination of these two steps frees the pins to allow free motion at that pin. The pins on these chains do not break and their hold on the outer plates at this junction are not compromised doing it this way. I always take my chain tool on rides with me, but never have I had to fix my chain because of this mounting process. And I never have to worry about the connecting links failing or loosening or having to find them when removing my chain. Also, if you take your chain on and off again for cleaning, you don't need new quick links. You just push out a pin. Remove chain. Clean chain. Push pin in. Stretch pin plates. And, you are back on the road. Sram chains are probably the best chain on the market for this process.

The 830 is at the bottom end for SRAM, a company who I feel makes the best chains. This is basically the same as their higher-end models, just heavier. And since this is going on a 38 pound fatbike, I don't give one solitary turd about chain weight. What I do care about is reliability and longevity, and this sucker fills both requirements. See, the aforementioned fatbike lives a harsh and unforgiving life, usually found in its natural habitat covered in beach sand, or locked to a parking meter in front of Moe's Tavern waiting for its drunken owner to reappear, or maybe bobbing zealously in the ocean after my failed attempt to pass the rocky Captiola point at high tide wearing absolutely nothing but sandals. I digress. Back to the chain. This one comes with a power link, which doesn't require tools to take off. Don't end your sentences in prepositions. And I use this in a single speed drivetrain and have found these to stretch way less and perform way better than single speed chains. Five stars.

I purchased both this and the 850 model. I thought that the 850 model would have beveled edges and be a slicker-looking chain, but I tell you what, I couldn't tell the difference just looking at them. I had to keep looking at the part number on the box to be able to tell them apart as I was installing them on my two mountain bikes.I haven't put many miles on these chains but they are both very nice, smooth chains. The included master link makes them very easy to install, and with a standard chain breaker (I borrowed a friend's) the process doesn't take long at all. If I were to do it again, I would just buy two of these 830 model chains and call it a day.
