This is a bit of a hack, but a great solution for broken tabs on the back of Garmin and Wahoo computers. Over the years I've had failures with both. My Garmin fix continues to hold years later and I just finished repairing my Wahoo. Definitely the way to go once the warranty expires. Here's how: On the side of this adapter that does not go into the bike mount, remove the rails with a knife, file or saw to make a flat surface, then rough it up with some coarse sandpaper. I've tried 2 different ways to cut the adapter. For the Garmin, I split it like a bagel for a low profile. For the Wahoo, I left it thicker and drilled a 1" hole to countersink it making it easier to keep centered and level.Likewise, sand the back of the computer until it's pretty flat, removing about 1/16" of material, and rough up the surface. Now glue the 2 pieces together with plastic epoxy. Be very careful to align the tabs in the same orientation as the device and keep the pieces centered and level.Maybe over-engineering this a bit,I made a glueing jig with scrap wood by drilling out a 1" circle with a forstner bit to hold the adapter and added a couple of T-nuts on either side so I could clamp the whole thing with bolts and a mending plate across the top. That made it easy to pack in more epoxy to strengthen the mount, but a good eye, a steady hand and 5- minute epoxy may be sufficient.Whatever your method, it's the most cost-effective way I've found to deal with the inevitable broken tab.

A great adaptor so that older Garmin head units with slide on mounts, can be used on newer quarter turn mounts. Works well nil problems

I used this to upgrade the mount on my 10-year-old Garmin Edge 305 and I can honestly say that I had no idea what I was missing. The old Garmin mount gets a lot of complaints for being a pain to use, and while I found it mildly annoying I had learned to live with it. This new quarter-turn mount system, however, is much improved and now I don't think I could ever go back to the old mount. Additionally, there are now so many products and options available for the quarter-turn mounts that you can choose a mount that is perfect for how you ride.

I bought this for use with a Garmin Edge 705 and a K-edge out front bike mount (subliminal review for K-edge - spend the money. Their bike mounts are super high quality and very aero). This adapter works awesome. Very sweet. Easy to attach. Very secure. (not like Garmin mounts for this model).Bottom line. This little gadget is a great way to get an older Garmin out front on your bike. This will make your biking experience safer, more comfortable, and ultimately more enjoyable.

I purchased this to use with the Tate Labs Barfly 2.0. Initially it seemed to work great with my Garmin 705 but after repeated uses and some material fatigue on the Barfly, the Barfly failed and my Garmin went flying on a 30 mph descent. I was never able to find my Garmin due to the rough and grassy terrain along the edge of the road. I talked to a Tate Labs rep and he said the Barfly 2.0 was never designed to be used with the Garmin 705 because they had seen failures with that collaboration during testing. So, Tate Labs is really not to be blamed. Wish I'd have known this on the front end. The take away: Do not use the SRAM adaptor with the Barfly 2.0. It may seem to be a great fit initially, but long term you very well could end up without a Garmin like me.

Works great, lets me use my Garmin 705 GPS with the quarter turn mounts the newer Garmin GPS units use. Slides onto the back of my 705 and clicks in securely. Then, I take my 705 with this clicked in, and it's easy to mount on the quarter turn bracket on the bike, easy to remove from there, and stays solid and secure during the ride.

I bought this adapter to mount my Garmin 705. Initially I used it with the SRAM quick look mount, but found it to have a high profile that I was trying to evade. Anywho, when matched with the Garmin mount it lowered the 705 , making it even with the stem. Also I would to add that the mount is a little loose on the SRAM mount, but very snug feel on the Garmin Mount. If you buy this product the pricier Garmin is a much better mount for the SRAM QuickView Adapter.

This seems sturdy and does what it should. Locking mechanism to the Garmin feels better than the original. Works well on my Edge 205 and just increases the stack height a few millimeters on the mount. Much better than getting a newer GPS with functions that I currently do not need.

So it works as advertised with a garmin 705. EXCEPT it tends to rattle. I know its not the garmin unit itself - I shook it repeatedly without hearing or feeling any sort of rattle. Once it goes onto this adapter, it will rattle over bumps. Not a HUGE deal, but I took a star off for this.Incidentally on my scale this adapter comes in at 8.3 grams (on top of the ~19.24g of the quickview mount)
