I prefer an elliptical/oval chainring to a standard round whether it improves my climbing abilities or not.

Ya es el segundo plato ovalado de Sram que utilizó . Es muy bueno para mi por mi forma de montar bike . Dale buena lubricación con cera en cada salida y te durará mucho

provato e mi sono trovato subito bene. vedrò nei prossimi giorni.Fatto 20 km in salita. Pensavo di avere ancora su il 30 denti. Io non ho una pedalata perfettamente rotonda e con questa ovale riesco a sfruttare meglio i punti morti della pedalata alleggerendola di molto.. Ora come ora sono contento.

I like the oval chainring, was looking for something to help take some of the stress off my knees (short of buying an e-bike) and this feels like it will certainly help drag me up the hills. I am pleased with the product and the shipping was crazy fast, ordered on Saturday received on Monday without expedited shipping cost.

It is an essential upgrade for this new fancy pants 12 speed drive. Just got a new bike with round 30T and didn't occur to me that my old (16 years) had a 27 speed shimano drive which had an oval chain set as standard. And I noticed the weird feeling peddle stroke in this new set up. And my legs spin out at about 25mph. Going up to the 32T oval has brought back the peddle stroke I am used to. As well as me having an extra 2mph before I spin out. Climbing with the massive 50T back ring is still a doddle. And gives an attacking feeling in the peddle strike not the constant pressure require around the complete revolution. A worthy upgrade. Bit of a sting to the wallet. I kept with sram, to be on the safe side. A lot lighter than the standard steel. But I am not much of a weight geek. Should last being Aluminum. Something has to wear out at some point so it might save the chain a bit?

Weak. Broke off two of the teeth on this product when a little pebble got lodged in-between two teeth on the chain ring. Next thing I know after one pedal stroke the chain and the chainring are both destroyed. I wouldn't have thought that to be possible. I figured at the least the chain would have broken before the chainring. Probably a freak accident. I should have stuck with a cheaper chainring.

Great oval ring, had zero issues running this so far, it doesn't appear to be as aggressive as some other ones. Wouldn't say it was a revelation in terms of on the trail difference, more of a placebo!

This chain ring makes climbing feel easier. Situations where I would get out of rhythm while cresting a climb with a lot of roots would often make me step off the bike. Now, it's easier to keep pedaling because the point in my stroke where I have the least leverage on the pedal is also where the chain ring gives me the most leverage against the chain. I ended up going from a 34t round chain ring to a 32t oval. If I had to do it over, I would have stayed with 34t, since the oval makes things easier. I find that 3rd gear now feels about the same as 1st gear used to feel.I am running an X01 Eagle Boost rear end and got the 3mm offest. Fit great!
