I give it 3 of 5 stars because of the Shipping and Handling only! The product itself looks great, and the quality of the Welding and pieces is great, but the Packing was atrocious and led to heavy damage on some of the pieces that are allowed to bang around inside the box. Most of the pieces have no damage, but several have scratches and chips that go right down to the base metal. I would hope that the seller will respond and discuss reimbursing me for the painting work I'll have to have done to clean up the damage done during shipping and handling...The rest looks good; things are very symmetrical, so I assume things were welded in Jigs, and I expect that fitment should be ok. I know enough to make sure not to even start tightening any of the bolts until they are all in and lined up. Others that have had fitment issues on Youtube clearly show that they begin tightening things in place before full assembly...

This had to have been opened or used but since I wasn't installing right away the time lapsed and can't return. It was scratched and nicked on every piece, VERY disappointed in this.

2016 JKU Backcountry Edition. The installation took me about 6 hours to complete. I did not have any of the fitment issues that other reviewers had. I removed the hardtop and the front doors. The instructions are sufficient and I recommend taking your time. I felt the install was easy to moderate and can be done by anyone who has a moderate level of mechanical aptitude. It also looks great.

Fairly straightforward installation, took me about 5hrs to do total by myself. Ended up having to trim my freedom tops just a little to allow them to sit flush with the top cross bar knuckle. I would recommend upgrading the padding that comes with the kit just my preference. Over all I’m satisfied with the product

2016 JKU sport. 4 stars because this is a very involved installation. Can definitely be done by one person with basic knowledge but the instructions are not even remotely inclusive of all the things you will encounter while trying to install this roll cage. I had to grind out a little of the passenger side aluminum/steel dashboard (under the plastic trim) to make the passenger side vertical bar fit. Driver's side popped right in (go figure). In addition to the holes near the door frame (very easy with the included bolt-on template) you will have to drill some much larger holes in the top center factory cross bar. A little nerve wracking but easy enough. One of the biggest headaches was having to completely remove the factory Jeep soundbar and cut a section to make it fit back in place when you install the new bars above it. I encourage you to get a Dremmel and a cut off wheel and slowly cut the spot out. There are wires running from one side of the soundbar to the other that are very close to where you'll be cutting.I had to grind off two small welding nubs on the top of the front factory roll bar (above the driver and passenger doors) to make the top cross bar fit. It wouldn't slide forward and into place without doing this. Pretty easy but still unexpected. Here's the real kicker!!! I had to shave down the factory freedom panels to get them to fit back down near were the front cross bar meets the factory roll bar in the front. I still can't get it to fit properly and will need to go back and shave some more with my grinder. Looks pretty awful but it can be cleaned up when I'm done i'm sure. It does not fit tight now and the wind blows in like it's going to rip it off going down the road. Rain is a problem too but only if it's really blowing straight at the window (like a car wash). With all that said, it does look great now that it's installed. Feels tight and solid.
