It seems well built. its for my 12 year old daughter. I've broke in a million ball gloves and consider myself a semi pro and it seems to be good quality leather but only time will tell if its construction and material is rough tough enough and stuff ya dig

My daughter started using it right away. She said it felt somewhat broke in after the first day already.

SSK FP5 Glove 12 Inch White/Royal Looks Great. My 14-year-old Niece really Likes it and is able to scoop Ground Balls Effortlessly, breaks in Easy. I did the Hot Glove Oven Treatment twice, used the fold strap with Softball in pocket a few nights as well and throwing softball into the pocket 40 throws twice a day for a week. Again, Great Glove, quality leather, great look, easy break-in. lastly for the price a great bargain Its a $200 dollar glove for the price of a little over $100 dollars. Will let anyone know looking for a new glove to get the SSK FP5.

Daughter 12U travel player (Right Hand Throw White/Navy 12” with basket web) absolutely loves this glove.Quality leather glove with just the right mix of stiffness and easy break in right out of the box. She was playing catch with it right out of the box with no problem or hiccups. The gloves esthetics are very pleasing and quite beautiful.Oiling, beating and pounding this glove is really not necessary….Just playing catch with it and using it is completely sufficient for break in. My daughter likes this glove better than her previous two gloves, (including the last one which was custom made), and it has helped her game. She said she doesn’t want any other glove after using this for a couple of sessions and team practices.Has played several games in it now during fall ball and feels far more comfortable with this glove than any other she’s used or tried.Easily a $200+ glove for just over half of that cost. This is quality Japanese Nameshi leather and has the perfect amount of stiffness and manufacturer break-in to make this glove almost game ready and usable right out of the box.The only thing I’d change is to offer a few more color options and web choices like they already do for their baseball gloves (which I as a dad will soon be purchasing for myself).According to my daughter, The SSK FP5 fit and comfort feels perfect and breaks in quite nicely in a short period of time. I’d recommend this glove for all levels of girls fastpitch up to and including college level. Two of my daughters teammates also have FP5’s and have sworn by them.My daughter plays on a very competitive level as a P/OF/IF and is still growing so when it’s time for a new glove she says; “I will be getting another SSK.”

Love this glove for my daughter (11yr), pitcher infielder outfielder, well put together, looks fantastic. we broke two other gloves throwing in the front yard ($50). This glove needs a lot of work to break in. I’ve added leather softener, and I’ve had her throw hard to me wearing it. It is hard for her to squeeze down and secure the ball. I do not want to crease it but how do I loosen this thing up?
