Another reviewer said the shamrock is glued on, but mine is embroidered with no flaws. The hat is a medium to large adult size which is a little bit too big for my ladies small to medium head. It comes down over my eyebrows, and I have to put the plastic band on the back on a very small hole (making the band bend up over the side) which make a weird bump on the outside back. I do have a small head (I can wear a youth XL helmet) and that is an adult small, so probably most adults won't have this problem. I do really like the hat. We are going to Scottsdale Arizona for baseball spring training where there is a game on St. Patrick's Day. Since I'm part Irish I'm going to wear this hat to the game after I iron on a patch for my team and add a pin or two. That way I can celebrate my team's game and St. Patrick's Day at the same time!

Overall, I have to say I am not impressed with this hat. Overall, it feels and looks cheap. The front of it is foam, like the 80's trucker hats. There is a black cord around the base of the front at the bill, which you can't see in the photo which makes this even more a retro type hat.The embroidery is done OK. you can see some of the black hat because the embroidery is not tight like other hats.Overall, if you only plan on wearing this hat for St. Patty's day it might be OK. But if you are looking for an everyday wear hat, I would pick other options as this hat does not feel like it will last very long.

The hat is made from a green foam like material. The shamrock is glued on. The hat can be hot to wear due to the foam material. It is great for a one time use on St Patrick's day.

I love trucker hats, they're pretty much a part of my regular wardrobe, and I was pretty excited to see this one offered since St. Patrick's Day is coming soon. The 3-leaf clover detail on the front is embroidered, NOT some cheap iron-on or screen-print decal that will fall off after rain or a fade horribly from lot of sun. The hat is comfortable and adjustable to fit most head sizes. The hole in the back is enough to stick a ponytail through, for my fellow ladies who need to get their hair off their neck in the summertime.
