Well made in the USA horseshoes. it would be a 5 rating of the stakes were longer than 24 inches. Regulation stake height is 14 to 15 inches, leaving only 9 or 10 inches in the ground which is not enough. The stakes need to be 28 to 30 inches long.

Not sure if it's from shipping or just bad painting but... First off, they look nothing like they do on the box. They have more of a matte powder coat on them, it's NOT shiny at all like it shoes in the photo. So again not sure if this was a mistake or not. I ordered one set and exchanged it and the second set was the exact same.Secondly, the paint is either chipped or just wasn't put on correctly because it doesn't cover the shoes properly and then it has some rust marks as well on some of the shoes. In fact, on the exact same spot on all eight shoes I now have here, it's messed up on the same spot.Thirdly, there was some sharp parts on the shoes as well, right where many people hold them.Seems like a good set but the paint is very disappointing...not just because it looks nothing like the box, but because of the mistakes (either when made or in shipping). I understand them maybe looking like this after some hard use, but out of the box? I bought these because they were well reviewed and made in USA... but I feel like I could have paid less for one of the Franklin ones and got the same or better quality.Will try to contact the manufacturer I guess and see what they say...so far I'm very disappointed whereas I've been super excited to set up/build my pits and give them a try.
