I purchased this polisher to get rid of the scale build up on my pool. I tried all of the chemical methods to remove the scale but finally had to resort to mechanical removal. This polisher and #50 diamond pads worked great! It took quite a bit of time but I am very happy with the results! I never had any issues with performance. No overheating, no leaks. It doesn't come with the attachment to hold the diamond pads so you will have to order that separately (my oversight, but Harbor Freight saved the day!)

Now that I have quite a few hours on the polisher I must say that it does everything I need it to do...with one exception. The water valve is horrid, leaking from the first day I used it. A quick trip to my big box store to purchase a much better made 1/4" valve and I had the solution in hand. 1/2 hour with a 12mm, 13mm and 14mm wrench and some Teflon tape and I solved the problem. This is a great lap polisher for the money but please keep in mind your valve may leak as well and will probably need replacing.

so the good - this stone polisher does the work - I was able to polish a large surface without it overheating, and I did not get an electric shock like some reviewers for a different brand warn. It's easy to control the speed, as well as the water flow. Now - the not so good.1. Defect / missing gasket causes leaking. I connected the brand new polisher to a brand new garden hose. Despite that, The connection between the garden hose and the polisher tube leaked profusely, even after being tightened to the max. A closer examination showed that the polisher side of the connection was missing a rubber washer. It should go under a round metal plate inside the female end of the connection. Water was freely flowing out of the gap. You need to use an Allen wrench + a regular wrench to unscrew the metal plate, add a gasket below it, screw the plate back on, and place another gasket on top of it. For a brand new $200 tool, I wasn't expecting to do have to do these gymnastics.2. Then, after about 30 minutes of use, the trigger got stuck in the On position - means I wasn't bale to turn the tool off. Since I wasn't right next to the outlet, I turned the speed dial down to 1, and then walked to the outlet and unplugged the polisher. If you think this is unsafe - I agree. I'm expecting a rotating power tool to NOT be stuck in the On position. (After some manipulation, with the polisher unplugged, I was able to get the trigger unstuck so it could be used safely.)So - bottom line, this polisher does what it's supposed to, but I expected higher quality for the price.

I used the polisher for wet polishing edges of my countertop. It worked pretty well. Couple of thisn I really liked, it connected to my garden hose and I can control how much water to use during polishing. I could stop the water flow completely right from the machine for dry polishing, that I needed at a few places. The machine is very balanced and has plenty of power. Used it to grind down a small ding, it hardly lost any speed when I pressed it hard. Easy to work for long by locking the polisher run.Very happy, the counter looks brand new.

The tool worked well. A problem I did have was herring the diamond cup wheel off after using it. The supplied wrench bent and to this day I haven't gotten it off the tool.

I bought the first polisher a week ago and it lasted less then 8 hrs of working time. The motor burned out. I returned the polisher and got the second polisher in three days which was great. I began using it and in 40 min the polisher motor failed again!! I will obviously return this one and will never by this polisher again. I was hoping it was a one time problem but now its two in row. I would not buy this polisher and I definitely do not recommend it.

I'm using this on my polished concrete floor project. Using this for the hallways and close to baseboard areas with diamond resin pads. Works great. I especially like the fact that it has a GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter) built in. Added: Used this on 600 square feet of kitchen/dining room floor. Honed to 400 grit then dyed and densified. Wet Ground by pouring water on the floor then mopping up. Worked through all of the grits: 50/100/200/400/800/1500/3000/6000. Took a while but worked like a champ. Never had a problem. p.s. Used a Dremel Multi-Tool with triangular pad for the corners and along the baseboard. Also an outstanding tool.

I researched for months on how to polish concrete to make kitchen counters during a remodel over 2 years ago. During the process, I created 5 8"x11" color samples as an experiment with different aggrates and tumbled glass colors. Although, we decided against concrete counters, I got the idea of finishing the 5 little slabs to use as trivots and give as gifts. So, I began using an orbital sander with the diamond pads. It took FOREVER. because the concrete had cured for over 2 years. We also have 2 fireplaces with stained stone hearths...so we decided to buy this Stadea Stone Polisher. IT IS AMAZING! I was a tad disappointed when I opened the box that it didn't come with any backer hub...luckily one came with the original set of polishing pads and fit this grinder. It hooked up to water easily and off I went grinding for 4 hours. The results were amazing! A few tips for beginners like me: 1) Plan time to polish within a week of pouring your concrete, it will save a lot of time 2) You will get soaked with cement water and because of the rotary spin, everything within an 8 foot radius will get soaked too. A note to the manufacurer...the numbers on your "Burst Drawing" are way to small, making the diagram useless...and, please include directions on how to change the brushes you provide for down the road.
