I appreciate having a "just add glass" starter kit that ostensibly allows someone with little-to-no experience get into stained glass. This kit is well thought out in what it includes, but unfortunately the quality of a few of the tools is not good and will have the effect of dissuading a stained glass student from wanting to venture further into the art. About half of the kit works well enough that I'll keep it, but the soldering iron and the cutters -- two essential tools -- are throwaways unfortunately.For all the efforts to make an all-in-one stained glass kit, my advice would be to do some research on the web -- which often times includes a list of "starter equipment" -- and purchase the items separately, so one has the chance to focus on quality where it really matters. You won't spend much more than the cost of this kit and will get tools that are *much* more usable.

I've had this stained glass kit for a while now, and I have found it to be very useful in cutting the glass sheets that I purchased separately, piecing them effectively and efficiently, and then soldering my creation. It did take me a while to get comfortable and understand the best way to use some of the tools that are included, as I was not familiar with them...but wanted to be. I highly recommend watching some online videos to help understand the process and how to use each tool included in the set if you're new to stain glass cutting or are unfamiliar with any of the tools included. My set was missing the stripping clamp and a couple of the items could have been better quality; thus, my 4-star review. With that said, this set is a great beginner set if you're willing to take the time to understand what each tool is for and how best to use it.

I haven't started,but from what I see everything needed for stained glass is here. Very cool,easy to use tools. Definitely consider this a value,as I wouldn't have known about the ease of buying a complete set

This is great !! I got this to do a one-time craft for a friend. and now I'm hunting glass panes from yard sales and flea markets to build more tabletop lamp items and window hangers

I needed an extra set of nippers because the rubber mats on mine had worn out. I just went ahead and bought this whole kit, since the price was right. There's a lot in here that I won't use and haven't even tested, like the melting iron. However, the glass nippers and wheeled cutters are fairly standard. They are not the best quality, but they are also not the worst. The scoring tools are fairly standard as well. I do fused glass and not stained glass, but the tools often cross over, so this works for me.

My daughter (18) has started doing some stained glass work, but we don't necessarily have a lot of equipment around yet, nor does she really know what she's doing. She's been playing with the tools in this kit a little bit, and so far she has been pleased with the items she has used. She has cut glass primarily.With the two storage bags, she was able to get everything to fit except the gloves and the tile nipper. The gloves work, though they are still pretty big for her (she generally wears an adult medium or large).

When I tried to use the glass cutter, Can't cut glass at all！The soldering iron cannot be used.，Cannot be returned.，I've thrown it in the trash can.
