Works for my jetboat but a little more compact than I thought. It handled some big men climbing back into the boat. The compact size could be a bonus as if you do like I have done and drilled out the mounting hole slightly larger to use removable pins instead of the included bolts you can stop the ladder instead of leaving on the back of you boat when not needed.

Now I feel much safer reentering the boat while in the water.

First thing to note.. Just as it says in the description, its dimensions are 10.12"W x 23.6"H.. That means, there is only about 8" of open space on the step of the ladder.. I have seen others complain about this.. But it is right them in the description if you look..It would be nice if they gave you a piece so that you can attach and detach the ladder as needed.. For example, if you look in the middle of the mounting bracket, there is a bit hole in it.. If you had something a better head on it than the bolts that it comes with, you could slide it in place with a single attachment bolt or piece when you needed to use it, and then just take it off when you are done.. I think this is a better option then leaving it attached 24/7 if it is permanently mounted..I did check the whole thing to see if anything was magnetic.. Nothing is.. So everything, including the bolts are SS..The bolts by the mounting bracket have no washers between the bracket and the head of the bolt or nut.. I will be adding these myself since there is plenty of room there to add them..The black caps where the braces hit up against the boat could be better.. I think something with a wider platform and a more durable, or at least thicker material that will hold up better would be better.. Again, another change that I will be making..Overall, it is not bad.. It is still much better than using a rope ladder to get back in..

I bought this for the fishing boat. Most of the time we try to stay inside the boat but on hot days like to jump in the river. I thought I could use this as a quick ladder to throw over the railing and assist in getting back into the boat. This is a small compact ladder which is nice but it needs to permanently be mounted. If it is going to be permanently mounted and have that pressure pushing against the boat it should be reinforced. My reinforced areas have my downriggers. Not a hard choice of which to use. I may try to create something that I can attach it to and place over the railing when I want to use it and just unclick my downriggers temp. A little more work than originally expected but the craftmanship is nice and has a hook to fold up and keep in place.

Definitely should have measured first. Can not put 2 feet on same step at once. Very small

I bought this for my aluminum Lund Tyee2 16' boat. The ladder does not compensate for the transom angle (like all boats). Poor quality and unusable. Will try to modify it, but mostly it will end up in the trash.
